If you were the Rams GM (1 Viewer)

Would you trade Bradford for Brady straight up (ignoring salaries)?

Bradford will likely be the best QB in the NFL within a few seasons.
:popcorn:This is extremely unlikely.
I'll take that bet. Brady & Manning are at the age where athletic ability starts to wander (including their arm)...little by little. Give Bradford 3 more seasons (his 4th year), & yeah, I like his chances. It's remarkable what Bradford has done as a rookie on a so-so team & with a ton of injuries at WR/TE. All he lacks is experience. The Rams have a nice, young OL to protect him, as well.

It would be a great trade for the Rams, Bradford has performed better than anyone would have expected but its safe to say he will get better just not Tom Brady better.

Brady probably has a little more than 6 years, he would suffer in the St. Louis system though, O-line isnt great, WRs same story.

I agree that he's looked better than expected for his rookie year with his WRs. It's always hard to say who will be the top dog in 3 years. in 2007, we wouldn't have put Rodgers in the top tier. Brees wasn't predicted to be one of the best until he was, same with Brady. Peyton is one of the few we thought could be and lived up to it. I feel about as comfortable predicting Bradford to be up there as anyone, but I also really like Freeman and Flacco, and Ben and Rivers will probably still be going strong.

You think Brady will play at his current level until almost 40? I know he's a great player but I get the feeling he won't hang on like Favre.

I also suspect that there's a reason the Pats revised their offense away from the Randy long ball to the short Tight End stuff

Bradford played on one of the all-time better teams(not best like U of Miami but a ton of quality future NFLers on one team) and he played against some excellent opponents. Most of these rookies never played against each other, meanwhile he seems to have played against every rook that pops up in the news. So we might be able to go out on a limb and say his division in college was one of the better ones too. I bring that up to ask-has he learned a ton as a rookie? Or did he come into the NFL ever so prepared to succeed? The game is almost easy for him. His ability to learn and prosper would be key here.He is mr. perfect quarterback in his personal life- donate to charity, raise money for charity, don't get into trouble, talks about diet and workout routines...you name it, his off the field stuff is soooo not a concern here. One of my fave memories was watching BB scheme against young Peyton. I don't think I've ever paid as much attention to defensive alignments, pre-snap movements and all. At times, BB and a few other creative DCs crushed Peyton his second year and Peyton responded (sometimes in the same game) beautfully. It was an awesome chess match. Peyton has to be especially intelligent and determined. I mean they made him look foolish at times and he came right back at em'. (I'm sure Tom Moore helped some but...)If Bradford is similarly intelligent to young Peyton with such an ability to adapt and overcome, I think he will be one of the best that quick. I do expect a slew of DCs to watch tape, create great schemes, and win the battle somewhat in his second year. I do totally agree it's unlikely but most of what Bradford's done in a short time has been extremely unlikely for a rook so....

I always get the feeling that Brady and BB see eye to eye on everything. While I'm sure that's not the case (they are human) there's definitely an extension of the coach thing going on. For that reason, Bradford for Brady would be a dopey trade for the Pats.

Tom Brady is going to be 34 next year? Why in the HELL would a Rams fan want him for the next ~4 years? So we could MAYBE have 1 decent season before he retires?

he just had either his best, or 2nd best, season of his career. hindsight shows he would have performed very well for the rams this season if this trade would have occurred in early august.

would you rather have 4-6 years in the playoffs or 8 years, making it to the playoffs maybe 3 times excluding this year which still isnt locked up.Bradford is good, but to think that the other 3 NFC west teams wont improve in the same time period as Bradford playing is silly.
