if you were thinking of trading LT (1 Viewer)

i've got some other areas of need on my team and was wondering what i could get for LT.

i play in a 2QB league and would like another good QB to pair w/ Bulger, but I'd also like to get a RB to replace LT.

Basically, the point system is Rush:1pt/20yrd, Pass: 1pt/50yrds ... so players that score TDs have more value.

I was thinking of asking for Brady & MBIII ... is this asking for too little? Barber's sharing the ball but he's the one consistently putting up the points and Brady is in position to put up Manning-type numbers.

im not throwing in the towel on LT based on two games ... i just have other positions to fill & trading a guy like LT, i;d be able to fill two positions.

It's an interesting question. I bet there are some owners in your league who would love to trade for LT, and probably overpay for him. It's not always easy to figure out who those owners are, though.

I'd start very high with a few owners, and go from there. I wouldn't actively try and trade him for less now than you would have two weeks ago. Is he less valuable now? Maybe, maybe not. But at least one or two owners won't think so, or even fall into a gambler's fallacy trap and think he's more valuable.

A safe guy like Brady is a good start, but I don't think Barber's nearly good enough. Any of Brady/Manning/Palmer is step one, and then just go after the top RB on the roster of those three teams.

yeah, i guess it doesn't hurt to start high ... someone might bite.the Brady owner also owns SJax ... might be a tough sellThere's also an owner who has Palmer and Travis Henry

i dont know if i would try to trade him right now.

People might lowball you because he struggled somewhat this week.

If you really wanna trade him, wait a week or two when he scores a couple TD's and then move him. You'll get more.

Team A gave up Croyle, Brodie KCC QB;Dunn, Warrick ATL RB;Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB;Muhammad, Muhsin CHI WR

Team B gave up Bulger, Marc STL QB;Bush, Reggie NOS RB;McGahee, Willis BAL RB;Driver, Donald GBP WR; Year 2008 Round 1 Draft Pick from Team B

big EYE OPENING trade that just happened in my dynasty league.......

There were extensive offseason threads talking about this. You should research them. The consensus was it would take at least a top-5 RB and top-5 WR for LT owners to consider letting him go.

This is the wrong time to think about trading him.

If you weren't thinking about trading him before now, then other owners in your league will know it's because of his recent stats. Weakness is a bad thing in negotiations and that's the position you'd be in. By the way, if that is the reason you are thinking of trading him, don't do it. Don't think short term.

On the other hand, if recent performance isn't the reason, then prove it by waiting until one of his monster weeks and offering him then, not now.

if I were to trade LT? hmmm. The least I would expect in return would be a BRAIN! Bears and Pats. Enough said.

A purple unicorn, a live dinosaur, and a room with some extra padding in the walls. Clearly these would be of greater importance to me if I were thinking of trading LT2.

It's hard, if not impossible to get value for him. I've tried to deal him many times in my big keeper league and never had a offer blow me away (the only kind I would consider for him). Best thing is send out a blanket email saying roughly what you want and what tier players you expect.

Hopefully you get some bites, and make sure you don't just take the best offer on the table. If it's not perfect stay pat, it is Tomlinson after all.

Aside from the fact that LT had to go up against CHicago & NE the last two weeks, the SD offense seems more pass-happy these last two games w/ Norv as opposed to Shotty. Even when the score was close, it seemed like SD wasn't committed to running the ball. They'd let LT run for a two yard gain on 1st down and then pass on 2nd and 3rd .... and LT was hardly looked at in the passing game.

Remember, last year Shot had the training wheels on Rivers the first half of the season, and even when they did let Rivers pass, it was still LT's show.

I don't think I'm being an alarmist ... my opinion is more reflective of the how the coaching staff is managing the offense rather than on LT's ability.

I agree that trading LT after a good week is more logical. Trading a player when he's down is never smart, but if the other owner thinks i'm being overeactive and thinks LT will be huge, then he might consider giving up some good players.

Anyway, i'm not giving him away after two subpar weeks ...

I'm looking to get either:

Brady and SJAx from one team

or

Palmer and Travis Henry from another team.
