Weapon of Mass Instruction

Watch my feet!
Titans homer. I am pulling for Jacksonville. They are a hated rival, yes, but they play a lot like the Titans, are in our division, and them winning means that the Patsies got beat.

Green Bay first... if they lose, then San Diego. If they both lose, then I guess Indianapolis. If they all lose, well then anyone but New York or Seattle.

i'm a jags fan and this is simple. if the jags lose, i want to see history, so i'd go with the pats.

(followed closely by an old warrior in favre ruining the perfect season)

Bears homer here ...

Green Bay, Indy, or Jacksonville ... anyone but NE

Any of these 3 would make me happy.

eta: sadly, NE has a legitimate shot at facing and defeating all 3 of these teams

Jacksonville, mainly by process of elimination.

There is someone or something I can find not to like about each of the other seven teams. Not so with Jacksonville. They seem like a bunch of hardworking, good guys who get it. Contrast that, for instance, to the new face of my pathetic franchise, who was just interviewed on the sideline at the BCS title game wearing a ridiculous gaudy gold chain which hung down to his sack and probably cost five times what teachers make in one year.

I'm also happy for Jack Del Rio. He's a hell of a coach, and somehow he'd gotten lumped in with the Mike Tice's of the world.

Detroit fan..I would like to see Jax make it to the SuperBowl.

Who I THINK will win it? NE, but I will STILL be rooting for the Jags on Saturday night.

Who I want to win it? GB because I love Favre, or the NYG (silly as it sounds) because it means so much to my dad.

Any year KC is out of it in the AFC, I root for Indy -- just find some of their players easy to root for.

In the NFC, I usually follow the Bears (proximity to KC), but this season, I am pulling for Favre & Co. in GB.

So, a GB-IND Super Bowl would be my hope and I would not care who won.

Green Bay fan through and through but if they would happen not to get there I would be happy with Jacksonville or San Diego winning it. Jacksonville is a bunch underachievers that fly way below the radar. Plus, it would be nice to see Fred Taylor win something. San Diego because they could prove the nay sayers wrong especially Rivers.

Im hoping for a Dallas/NE super bowl. This way im guarranteed to be a happy camper.
yeah, it pays to be a frontrunner.
Frontrunner? I've been a cowboy fan since the mid 70's. It hasnt always been rosey, been some lean years thrown in there.
Frontrunner....lolI can barely remember the last playoff win....I think it was against Minnesota in late 90's.....

I was curious and went and checked. It was against Minnesota in 1996.Anyway...sorry for the hi jack.No Dallas.....Give me Indy. That means the Pats lost.

I voted for the Pats, just cause I'd hate to see the 16-0 go to waste, might as well take it all the way.

But when it comes down to sitting in front of the TV with a beer, I'll be rooting for the Pack.

Panther fan - These are my top 5 teams in order, that I'd like to see win the Super Bowl.

1. Jacksonville - I like their style, and I'm an ECU alumna, so I'm a Garrard fan.

2. Green Bay - Brett Favre is one of my favorites.

3. San Diego - I'm from a Wolfpack family, so I'm a Rivers fan.

4. Seattle - They have never won a Super Bowl, and I like them.

5. Indy - I like Dungy.

I'm tasking about you and the Pats. I've always known you to be a Cowboys fan. Now all of a sudden you're sniffing Brady's drawers.

Odd. I voted and feel the same way.

I own Brady in 2 dynasty leagues. Moss in 4 and own Brady, moss and welker all on the same dynasty team. Do you have any idea how hard it would be to root against them when you own them in multiple leagues? lolPlus Im from New England and have always rooted for them, just not when they play dallas. Which rarely happens.

i'm a Jets fan and i voted for the Giants.

I'm in NJ, so their a local team. A lot fo my friends are Giants fans, so i'd rather root with them.

Plus a Giants-Pats rematch in the Super Bowl...where the Giants win, would maybe be the greatest NFL game in history.

At this point, I cheer for older great players who haven't won a ring.

Off hand, that's LT.

Can't remember if TO won one yet.

I would prefer Indy, Green Bay, or the Giants, but I could live with any of the team's winning b/c they are all pretty good. I'd prefer it not be San Diego since Philip Rivers is such a clown, and I'd prefer it not be Dallas b/c my BIL would be intolerable. Otherwise,

What about Strahan? What about Alexander? What about Seau? What about Roy Williams? Plenty of that to go around.

 :lmao:In that order and ditto as a Bears homer. Now I know what some Bears homers are thinking, "How can you root for the hated Packers?!?!?!"Simple - #4 transends the rivalry. Even as a Bear fan, I love watching him play - why? Because he loves to play. He's one of the few guys that seems to simply love the game of football. A few weeks ago he threw a TD pass and was running over to the sideline excited - the ref was in his way, so instead of running around him, he just stopped and started giving him fives too. When I watch Favre play it reminds me of what we all love about the game of football - the fun of a game.

1) Indy - I've always liked Dungy

2) GB - How can anyone not like Favre?

3) Jax - Seem like a pretty classy organization. Del Rio has done a nice job

4) NYG - It would be fun to see the brothers go against one another in the SB

5) Seattle - Maybe them winning would stop their fans from whining about XL.....nah, who am I kidding

6) SD - I'd like to see LT get a ring, but Philip Rivers is quickly becoming one of the most annoying players in the NFL

7) Dallas - No self-respecting Steeler fan can root for the Cowboys

8) NE - If Dallas and NE play, I probably won't even watch.

Alexander has at least been to a Super Bowl, and I don't consider him a truly GREAT player. Dang good, not great.Strahan works, thanks. Seau would as well, even if he's not as big a part of the team as LT, Strahan, TO, etc.Roy? Seriously? Great coach, not a great player. Looks like I'll be cheering for the Giants (Strahan) and Chargers (LT) even though I'm not expecting either to make it.

Tony Dungy might be the best human being ever to walk on planet earth, so I'll root for the Colts.

If not the Colts, then any team besides the Patriots. They're the Anti-Dungy.

What problem could you have with Dallas? They arent in the same conference and whats the SB record between these two? You have nothing to be bitter about. If anything the Cowboy fans should be bitter. This makes as much sense as a Cowboy fan rooting against the Bills.

I have a team in the playoffs, so I probably shouldn't even be reading this thread. But I couldn't help but agree with this.If that's the Super Bowl, I'll join my wife in watching the Food Channel. (Rachel Ray is kinda hot.)

I just want the Super bowl to be a good game (heck, I would be happy with Jax/Giants as long as it is close). If a team like Seattle gets through the NFC, and they end up facing NE, I will be disappointed. On the AFC-side, if NE does not make it (and I could care less if they do), I would like to see Indy or Jax get in. For some reason, i reallly do not want to see the Chargers get in, because I think they would eventually get whipped by a team like Dallas...but they would have a very tough road to get there in the first place, so who knows.

It's not a bitterness issue, per se, I just have a hard time liking the Cowboys. They just always seem to have guys on their team that I can't root for. Hollywood Henderson, Charlie Waters, Michael Irvin, Jimmy Johnson, Deion Sanders, Barry Switzer, TO, etc. And don't get me started on Jerry Jones.

Funny how I feel the same way about the steelers.
