I'm not a believer (1 Viewer)

I'm not convinced any of the WW WRs will sustain anything near what they did in Week 1. I'm talking about Clayton, Lloyd, Mike Thomas, etc.

In blind bidding leagues, I'm saving my money. In leagues with traditional waiver rules that establish a priority order beginning in Week 1, I'm holding my spot.

Recommendation: None of the WW WRs are worth jumping on.

I agree with the OP. I hope that the hype gets the others to blow 50% of their wad in week #1.

The only guy I'd want to have is B. Jackson, and that's if I was hurting at RB. But I'm so stacked at RB, even though I lost Grant, I'd never use Jackson, even if he was available.

The WW fodder is an uninspired list of players who had exceptional (perhaps highwater mark) weeks due to circumstances.

If you drafted well, the offshoot is dumping a really good player that maybe just had a bad week.

Do what you will this week.

I'll be watching the bidding war from the sidelines.

Disagree, think both M.Thomas and M.Clayton would be worth a pick up, although I wouldn't go crazy spending too much of FA budget on them.

Mike Thomas will be Jacksonvilles leading receiver this year, and they're passing offense isn't as bad as many think.

Clayton I'm a little doubtful about, but it's hard to argue against a guy getting 16 targets after only being with the team for a week or so. Clayton never really blossomed in Baltimore, but a change a scenery (not to mention that Clayton was stuck behind Mason and Heap, and later Rice in the pecking order of targets on a primarily run first and then run second team) may be what he needed. Not to mention that he worked out in the offseason with fellow Oklahoma alumn Bradford.

I'm not sure how to view Clayton. I didn't see the game, but I know Laurent Robinson injured his ankle & missed at least half of it. I wonder how much of Clayton's involvement was due to Robinson being out. Anybody have insight?

Lloyd is fool's gold. He did the same thing in Chicago 2-3 years ago, & stupid me dropped somebody to pick him up. Lloyd got hurt the next game, then fizzled. Whoever I cut for Lloyd ended up doing very well (can't recall who). If you have a dead roster spot, maybe Lloyd's worth a shot, but don't drop anything decent.

I'm pretty sure that Robinson hurt his ankle on the Rams last drive of the game...he only missed a couple plays, I think.... But yeah, Robinson is made of glass. This is my 2nd year owning him (actually started him 2 times last year), and it's acceptable only b/c he can be drafted after Round 13 in my league.
