I'm sorry but Flacco is the 26th ranked QB this week? (1 Viewer)

Any ideas? This makes no sense to me. 200 and 2TD's is more than possible and this would likely put him top 15 for the week. Stanton is ranked 10th!!! and he is facing a tough buc def.

What's up with that?

I thought the FBG staff rankings this early in the week didn't mean anything ... like maybe only the top 6-10 were fleshed out, and everything else still has to be researched and worked out.

I always start the player I think will have the best game and never look at the so called experts. You should try it, you will enjoy the hobby a lot more.

If your good that is. There is a fella in my league doing this and he is 0-14. Just saying.

1) We should pin a post at the top of the Shark Pool: "Don't ##### about Tuesday night rankings". They're mechanical. Automated. There's no thought going into them, they're just calculations. Dodds hasn't tweaked anything yet.

2) We should pin a second post "Don't ##### about rankings". A person's numerical rank, 1-32, is meaningless. Look at projections instead. Yes, Flacco is 26th in the list. But his projections show that if he manages to throw for just 25 yards more than projected, or, if someone in the top throws for just 25 yards fewer than expected, Flacco suddenly jumps to the top 10. You can't say "Oh no! OMG!!! Flacco is 26th!!!111!!!" when only 3 projected fantasy points separate Philip Rivers (top 5) and Tavaris Jackson (bottom 5).

3 points. From top 5 to bottom 5. No one expects any set of rankings to be correct "plus or minus 1.5 points". That's a ridiculous standard to hold anyone to, and it's a ridiculous standard to even attempt to reach. That's one big fat tier and all the QBs from 4 to 28 are in it.
