I'm starting _______ over _______ in week 1. (1 Viewer)

Lamont Jordan vs Det

over

Rudi Johnson vs Ravens

and

Berrian vs SD

over

Lee Evans vs Buf
:lmao: Lee Evans is playing for the Pats? Jesus the Pats have Moss, Stallworth, and now Lee Evans? That's just not fair! :D
Bills play the Broncos this week, not the Pats. I can understand the logic Zoom is using, but I disagree. Evans will get his. I have a hard time believing you would bench any WR1 for a WR2/3 regardless of matchup. Berrian vs SD is not even an easier game.My tough choices this week:

D. Foster over Portis and Betts. I may GTD Betts in for Thomas Jones who I have starting right now. Definately not happy with my RB situation in that league (4th yr dynasty). Other options: DeAngelo, L. Booker, V. Morency.
Probably over thinking it but I have 2 reasons for benching Evans Vs Denver1- Champ Bailey should be able to hold hiom to a couple catches

2- I had Evans last year and he is hit or miss. He has big games than disappears. Course Berrian did the same but SD doesn't have Champ Bailey
:loco: :bag: :bag: I'm paying for that Evans call now. Good call Zoom. At least my Broncos won AND the Bills covered. I usually bet against Denver in openers on the road.

Also, ya'll talked me into putting Portis back in...Thanks for that.

Ronald Curry over Greg Jennings and Patrick Crayton. Jennings' questionable status eliminates him here. As a Cowboys' fan, I originally inserted Crayton into the lineup before I'd put much thought into it. Crayton's stepping into a spot that that Terry Glenn was very productive in and the Raiders have that mess at quarterback. Upon further reflection, mostly about how awful the Lions have been against the pass in recent memory, I switched to Curry. I've also bought into the Curry hype that's been running rampant about here this year.
:goodposting: Is this the thread where we congratulate ourselves?

It is. I have Ronald Curry, but started Roy Williams, Lee Evans and Santana Moss instead. Here's to you anyway :goodposting:

I actually looked at starting Witten over Gates. Nope--not gonna do it--but between the Owens injury and the matchups it was something to consider....
Woulda been a good call! Wish I could play both....
Really can't complain about an embarrassment of 'riches'--but it looks like this is going to be a problem I'll have all season--, and given the ADP of Witten during drafts I could see where others might have the same (or maybe I just jumped at the chance when he was there later than I expected). In my league they're #1 and #2 after week 1, and I'm one who thinks both will end up top 5 at worst. So....it's no longer an automatic "start your studs" imo. Got Gates going into the Pat's den where in 2006 they had the #1 ranked defense vs TE's in this league's scoring, allowing 3.03/game (week 1 this year 2.90). Witten sails into Miami where they were 28th ranked at 7.65 ppg; hard to say where they will rank this year after just one good week vs Cooley.

Gates has had good yardage games against NE, no td's; Witten's role this year is so different as to have no comparison.

So far I'm playing it with the 'safer' Gates--but I'm up against a team with some really good personnel and matchups this week while mine are tougher, and if it's an upside TD or two I need I'll be rolling the dice with Witten.
