I'm starting Jason Campbell over _________ this week. (1 Viewer)

bumping this for the morning coffee crew. I'm still struggling with figuring out what's a realistic expectation for Campbell tomorrow night. I have Brady but am skeptical about the matchup. Then again, my opponent has Welker (if that even matters).

Who thinks it would be a good idea to start Campbell over Rivers? I've ridden Rivers all year to get to be the #1 seed in my playoffs. We get 1 point for every 25 yards passing and 6 for every TD.

I am rolling with Campbell over Rivers. :)

I have both Brady and Campbell ... at this point I would like to start Campbell but if Brady goes off, I would never forgive myself ... arrrgh!

Ok, so Brady went for 115 yds, 1 td, and -3 rush yds.

8.45 pts in my league. maybe not right, but close.

Let's get it going on MNF JC! :goodposting:

I am rolling with Campbell over Rivers.
Thought about it but when I had a comfortable 10 point lead on my opponent, I brought Rivers back into the fold before the 4:00 p.m. matchup and threw Campbell right back on the bench. Now I"m blowing my opponent off by a 70 point lead. Momo (of all people!) , Rivers, Miles Austin & AJ the killers this week.

Had I played Big Ben I win by 3pts, I need 42.1 from Campbell to advance to the title game.

This move is gonna hurt for a long time.

league 1: I have Campbell + 31 points vs Smith and Ganther

league 2: I have + 14 points vs Campbell

(modestly different scoring in the two leagues)

so I need Campbell to do just well enough to win league 1, but not so well that I lose in league 2!

Started him over Vince Young in league 1 (ugh! -- who knew that Young's hammy was in such good shape!) and (funny enough) my opponent in league 2 also started him over VY.

I guess I have to root for Campbell to get injured?

OK, I take the betting loss, but the Pats win, so I don't mind too much...

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this situation. I have Campbell, Ryan, and Cassel. Of course Ryan has been hurt so it was down to Cassel and Campbell. The only reason I've kept Cassel is he had some good matchups for when I'm in the playoffs (Cleveland this week). However, FBG says go with Campbell and of course Cassel hasn't looked good all season. If I played Cassel I win by 11. I need Campbell to have a good game for me to have a chance. Of course his last 3 games he been no worse than 33 pts

Whew

FINAL SCORING:

Brady : 115yds Passing - 1 TD - 1 INT • -3 Rushing = 8.3 points

Campbell : 192yds Passing - 1TD - 2 INT • 36 Rushing = 13.28 points

Turns out they BOTH sucked this week :hophead:

Well, this wasn't a thread on Brady. And I was right that Campbell reverted to long-run form! Anyways, I've paid you both. Let me know if you don't get it...

Yea, nice to be on this side, but that was just some ugly qb'ing all around. In his defense thought, Campbell was getting killed. 10 knockdowns/sacks by mid 2nd qtr. i'm just impressed the kid came back out knowing he was in for more of the same. WAS o line. that was a brutal performance. and thx for funds to help decorate the JC bandwagon this offseason.

Have to admit I was not considering starting Campbell until I opened this thread. I have Palmer, Henne (vs. 31st pass D Ten), V.Young (rush TD potential) and Campbell to choose from. I don't know if I like the idea of going with a guy vs. the NYG defense when anything is on the line...
Sometimes I really wonder whether I should take a break from these boards during playoff weeks. :D :moneybag:

lol - well it's not like Palmer was lighting things up before this week. Knew I was doomed when the Redskins inexplicably decided to defer and put the Giants offense out there first.-QG

Did Palmer trick us into starting him week 16? He has a great matchup in KC but I see him laying an egg when we expect a good week.

Start him with confidence. Since I'm eliminated and am putting him in my starting lineup for this meaningless week, he'll go off and throw 6 TDs now ;) -QG

Not falling for it. Starting Campbell over Palmer in the championship.

We're going double or nothing on Campbell vs. Brady this week, right? I mean, now Campbell has FOUR weeks in a row of outperforming Brady...
