I've been looking for a cheap source of steals, so I stashed Jerry Owens away on my DL while he was still eligible. He's currently doing a rehab assignment in AAA, but he has the potential to steal 40+ bases for the White Sox from the leadoff spot if he manages to earn his spot back. He had a strong spring training hitting .361 and was projected to bat leadoff before hurting his groin. If you need steals, I think Owens is a solid DL stash for the time being as you wait to see what type of role he will end up playing in 2008.
