In an effort to appreciate baseball again... (1 Viewer)

Baseball was my first love, but it's been awhile since I could appreciate the game and moved onto different interests. I want to change that and see if I can't enjoy the game like I used to, so in turn I drafted a fantasy team. The problem is, I honestly have no idea who is and isn't good anymore. The last time I played fantasy baseball, Kevin Brown was a top 5 pick and Mike Piazza was a huge advantage at Catcher. Anyway, I hate doing a rate my team, but if some of you could look at this and see what needs improving I'd appreciate it because I've never heard of some of the guys I drafted. Is this an old team, a power team, a speed team - is the pitching good/bad, etc...? I'd appreciate any and all opinions.

Franklin Guiterrez isn't rosterable in a ten team league. There may be waiver wire catchers who are better than Buck.

Your pitching looks better than your offense IMO.

I haven't done fantasy baseball in YEARS. I always follow the Phils but that's about it, not like the old days for sure.

BUT this YEAR I'm coaching my daughters t-ball team to REALLY get a jump start for my 2024 fantasy league.

I think drafting a fantasy team is a terrible way to try and appreciate baseball. It will probably just make you hate lots and lots of players.

Who are a few catchers that might be floating on waivers that are an upgrade to Buck?

Any sleepers I should look into grabbing?

I imagine Kurt Suzuki is on the ww. He's at least rosterable. Depending how sharp your league mates are, the Dbacks catcher might be sitting on the ww (can't recall his name).

Also, pitching is generally grossly overrated in 10 team leagues. That's not to say Lincecum isn't a stud, but anyone in the tier below is generally a lot easier to replace via streaming the ww. I'd look to flip your arms for offensive upgrades.
