Not surprised on Monkey, as I'd mentioned it before as being a known outlier. Surprised on John & Yoko; seems to be a favorite of some including #1 for Gr00vus. So interesting to see all the various thoughts, though.
NOFX The Decline. Over 18mins. I couldn't believe I found it in one of those online jukes. Easy money. I've never looked for the live version of Little John Jewel, but if you're playing Marque Moon Little Johnny from The Blow Up live album at almost 15mins would hit the spot as well.
1. If we wanted to hear 18 minutes of garbage we would just let other people play their music rather than pay actual money for NOFX.
I like the song but the nonsensical lyrics, the come ons and especially the crazy cowbell keep it from as good as it could be. It's all subjective but in my opinion "Back in the USSR " rocks just as well and is a much better song.
There might be 5 or 6 that I might move out in favor of something else but this is a really solid list.krista4 said:

It’s an odd ode to their relationship and, I think, a harsh dig at everyone else. Anyway, that’s my understanding of the story behind the lyrics. Seems placed about right, imo.
This was written years before Paul they split (they were engaged in 67) and I could be wrong but I think the breakup was more about infidelity on Paul's part than drugs.krista4 said:

Yes on the first part, but it doesn’t negate the fact the relationship was in trouble and he wrote the song about it. They hung on for a long time.

Pretty sure I first learned from this tune that an "engaged" telephone line means it's "busy".
Not a huge fan of the tune - still would be my second favorite "Monkey" song behind "Monkey Man", yet ahead of "(Theme From) The Monkees", "Shock The Monkey" and "Monkey Wrench".
