Incognito - Martin texts - Miami Dolphins fiasco (1 Viewer)

Any team near the cap limit with an OL need will be ringing Incognito's phone, it's a given...he's def an #######, but he'll be a gainfully employed #######.
Doubtful.
Even Michael Vick got a second chance, and he did jail time for a crime that many fans would consider more serious.
This is a league with a primitive mentality, you think they care if a guy is a bully/####### if they can have talent below market value?

Honestly, I'd be happy if the 49ers sign him! He'll cost them nothing & I think he'll be an animal next year with a chip on his shoulder.

The NFL isn't a popularity contest.
You really have a poor handle on reality in 2014. I will gladly wager you that Martin plays in the NFL before Incognito. The only way that any NFL team touches the toxic Incognito is perhaps in 2015 if he's somehow rehabbed his image

Are you trustable? I'm not looking for a Dr Gobbler situation here... I'm not familiar with your work, but I would like to make a wager here.

Incognito needs to ####. He's way too stupid and or mental to do that.

Why are so many people on here so sure he will get a job next year. Most of the people I heard today saying the opposite.

Vick said all the right things after he did his time. This Incognito guy is airing all his #### out on twitter like an angry 13 year old. Can't believe someone hasn't gotten to him telling him to shut it down. What is he hoping to accomplish?

He's a big dumb animal...Smart money says there are 3 or 4 cap strapped GMs out there with an OL need, hoping he keeps ranting so they can get him at vet minimum.

Am I the only one the gets a laugh evertime I hear about Incognito's antics? He is kind of like bluto in animal house.

I know. I am effed up.

Just read the Miami report on deadspin. Yikes. Just when I thought Incognito was getting railroaded, these texts are pretty damning for him. Pouncey comes accross as an ####### too.

Because he could probably help some teams. And that's all that matters.
This...You think a GM gives a #### if he's a dumb animal? He'll get paid minimum and he can start. This is a GM's wet dream even though they won't admit it to the public.

He'll be signed by the time camp starts.

ETA: As long as Goodell doesn't suspend him.

Assuming he's not suspended or banned, his job options in the NFL took a big hit with the release of the report, his latest blast of tweeting, and his lawyer saying the report is full of errors (implying they'll do their own "report").

The Wells report includes Philbin telling Incognito to tone it down and Incognito saying players were going to talk however they wanted to talk. That won't sit well with many teams -- telling a head coach to blow off.

The last couple blasts on twitter just made him look divorced from reality and unable to control himself even in a career-critical time.

The idea that he's paying his lawyer to do his own "report" --- not too many teams want that happening with him on their roster.

Somebody might sign him for the bet minimum or slightly more since he has some talent, as a tryout since he's already been basically dumped by 3 teams. It's not like he killed anyone, but 3 strikes already will outweigh his talent for a lot of teams. If a team signs him it'll likely be a team that can get by fine without him, and that has some strong locker room leaders and coaches.

I'm kinda curious if he will. Incognito was already suspended by the team for most of last season, so is it time served, or will Goodell tack on? If Goodell tacks on, the union will fight it.

This is what I'm saying. I'm not some moralist but I wouldn't want a guy this unhinged and stupid on my team.

The fact that you probably will be able to get him dirt cheap which was pointed out by a couple of people is a great point and is the only way this guy gets picked up. If someone does I'd be surprised if it's a good team.

What percent of NFL GM's current O-linemen are dumb animals already and have just been lucky enough to not get caught in the middle of a guy with Martin's problems? 25%-50%? So, yes, from that perspective he's no different than the typical O-linemen in the NFL and would be hired in a nano-second.

But Incognito did get caught up with Martin. He may be just as much of a dumb animal as many of them, but that fact and its crazy aftermath; some of which is Incognito's doing (tweets), and some of which is due to the unscrupulous Martin camp's actions (ie unsubstantiated/incomplete leaks that the NFL is ignoring; which is a serious injustice); means there is a significant chance he's black-balled.

Martin made the 49ers 53 man roster and started every preseason game at RT.Incognito is still looking for a job and with a flood of new cuts on the FA market, I don't like his odds.

lol

Softest right tackle in the NFL. He is awful, prob called his mother crying after getting embarrassed last night. Nice pick up Harbaugh!

Was thinking about this exchange right after the Buccaneers took a pass on Incognito. Never went and looked up this thread, though.

I was wrong, I think Harbaugh was the X Factor here, but Martin is showing he isn't a capable NFL player. He just isn't good. I don't like him, simply bc he sucks and is currently the RT on my favorite team. Can't wait for Anthony Davis to get back. Based on his first two games, I would be highly surprised if he was still on their roster next year.
