Wow. Brutal call.
Seriously 3rd and 14, minimal contact and you call a 40 yard penalty.
Just saw the broadcast of the PI call. It was far worse than the tv replay showed. The stadium replay shown was from behind the qb so you could see the flight of the ball. You could see Bouye was the only one trying to play the ball. He stopped where the throw went to try to catch it while the receiver committed PI trying to run through him further upfield, not realizing the ball was coming. That's why O'Brien went so ballistic.
It's amazing the Texans were able to be in a position to win after that and a successful onside kick. That call was atrocious. They could've at least given us a makeup call by not reversing the AJ fumble, right? The onside kick was on our special teams coach. The announcers said that Indy has already attempted several this year. How the eff are you not prepared for it? Terrible.
Nice to see that Indy feels the need to resort to that kind of ploy, though. You don't typically onside kick in games where you feel you can dominate.
The offensive line is pretty scary (bad). Going to make it hard on Fitzpatrick. What is wrong with Duane Brown?!
Resort to it, or good coaching? The Texans were 25 yards off the line in the middle. Anyone could see that was a no brainer call. Not sure they were resorting to anything. You take advantage of the opportunities you are given.
That's like saying they shouldn't have kept going to TY but rather just ran the ball since they felt they could dominate the game. The Colts DOMINATED the special teams game.
Um no. No, it's not like that at all. Regardless, it took an onside kick and some questionable officiating for the Colts to win that game against a team that was 2-14 last year, so don't get too excited now.
Not sure why I'm even replying to the Colts' version of ImTheScientist...
