Instant replay to start Thursday (1 Viewer)

Read a point by a writer who escapes me, but the real bogus part of this, what if you are a team in a pennant race that would have been HELPED by replay on a call to win a game in May and it costs you a game in September.

I wouldn't let my fantasy league change a rule midseason, how the hell does MLB let it happen? What was the rush on this, why was a spring training trial period not good enough?

Agreed to a point. I'd put it in with the start of the playoffs though.

Boundary calls are ok but anything else would suck. If they go to safe and out calls for example, baseball will slowly die.

agreed. They'll start with HR calls, and try will try and incorporate it into other aspects.......safe/out calls first, then check swings, and eventually god forbid, balls and strikes.I predict baseball will suffer. this is not a good idea.

Why? Aren't ALL the calls important? Baseball replay is also subjective to the extent of which outlet will provide the feeds? Will the YES network show the most definative angle if a HR call will go against the Yankees? Probably not. And not a dig at you Doc, I know you know the score, but its a largely all or nothing deal to me."Boundary" calls are pretty nefarious to me to begin with. First it was HR balls over the wall, then the fair/foul argument came into play, which, ok, maybe I can be ok with, but now this boundary thing would seem to open up fair/foul calls and fan interference. Stick with the call, this isn't a court of law where a guy is going to jail, its a ball game. We all have dozens of stories of our teams getting good breaks and hundreds of stories of our teams getting bad ones. The whole thing sucks.
