Interesting Bye Week Stat (1 Viewer)

They’ve been talking about this a bunch on Moving The Chains.

So far this year an NFL team coming off the bye and playing at home is 5-1. If you’re coming off the bye and playing on the road, the record is 1-5.

Teams on bye last week : Lions, Texans, Colts, Jets

Lions are home against the Skins

Jets are home against GB

Texans are at the Colts

(If the Texans won, it would throw TWO monkey wrenches into this stat.)

The 1-5 isn't right. Week 4, Tampa Bay bye - Week 5 Won @ Cin - Win.Week 5, Miami Bye, - Week 6 @ GB - Winweek 5, Seattle Bye, Week 6 @ Chi - WinI got 3-5.

Seems to me they should be able to go back historically and see if this trend holds up over time. This isn't the first year we have had byes. Are they suggesting there is something special about this year?
