Interview with Joe Bryant (1 Viewer)

Howdy, Shark Pool. I've been interviewing fantasy experts for about a year on my blog and thought it would help to get question ideas from the Pool. Joe Bryant's on my list and he's agreed to an interview. What do you want to know about Joe Bryant, FBG co-creator?

Previous interviews with FBG staff:

David Dodds

Ryan Hester

Andrew Garda

Bob Henry

Sigmund Bloom

Cecil Lammey

Matt Waldman part 1 and part 2

All interviews
Ask him how it all started for him and how footballguys came about in the first place!! would love to get some incite

When was the last time you won a FF league? What happened? Did you use FBG projections, or your own?

1. You had to pick one...

Running a FF website or running a boat company.

2. You had to give up one for life, which would it be...

Playing FF, cooking/eating BBQ, being on a boat.

3. You could select one and only one staff member to be in a 12 team FF redraft league with the winner earning $1mm for the charity of your choice, who would you pick?

4. Pick one you would personally relish the most and explain why...

Super Bowl MVP (and victory), Olympic medal, 1st place at Kona.

What 3 advantages would he say helped turn FootballGuys.com from an idea into the popular fantasy football site it has become today?

Partnerships are never easy. What is one example of something you disagreed with Dodds about that turned out good for FBG?

What method, in his opinion, is the best/most effective in regards to shamelessly pitching/hard selling oneself to potentially be a new addition to the writing team? For instance, who would be the best person to contact for this? Should one approach whomever is the best to approach with this entire situation with an article feature or series idea in mind? Or is several hundred thousand words of samples enough to show what they can do? Did I exceed the number of allowed questions yet? Because I certainly hope not!

Anyway, for the record, I'm asking these questions for a friend. He was too shy to come on here and ask them himself for some reason. His name's uhh... his name's Gary. Yeah, that's it. Gary. Just in case you wanted to... you know... know. On behalf of both Gary and I, I'd like to formally thank you for doing the interview Titans, and, of course, thank you for listening to the questions Mr. Bryant. Say, have you been working out? You're looking quite in shape these days!

Alright, I'm going to stop typing now. Galligan out!

How do you feel about the word "sneaky" when used in relation to fantasy football? Do you think "hammy" should be banned from the boards?

That's a very cool story.

My interview with Jeff Haseley.

BTW, I'm in the works to do an interview with the Shark Pool's own Ministry of Pain. In the words of the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, your world frightens and confuses me, so if you have some questions that would help get to the bottom of Mr. Pain's real world, post 'em here.
