Just got a new phone at work.  Previous was a 5S.  I had an otterbox defender case that was awesome.  The otterbox defender case for the 7 sucks.  The silicone is not as soft as the previous, and I can't keep this thing in my hands.  Looking for something with a tack non-slip surface.

Thin yet still quite protective.  Have had a speck case in it that I liked...this is a tiny bit thinner and has a better feel/grip to it.

I don’t feel it’s all that slippery.  Way better grip than the speck cases I’ve had in the past.  I don’t recall dropping my phone at all with this thing on.

not imo. not super tacky, but I'm lovin it.  Pretty solid, too. 

Eta: MAYbe you'd think it's too slippery? I don't. Back is glossy, but the sides grab the hand well enough, including a little exposed rubber that helps absorb impact on the dual impact design thingy, which protrudes just enough to give a little extra grip when holding with one hand.

Sahara Case with screen protector

Went from 5s to 7 plus. Co-worker has same case as in link and came highly recommended. Would have to agree. The screen protector is awesome, shatter-proof, feels like the glass when touching, and simple to install if you follow the directions.

Sides of case have a hard plastic feel which will feel slick at first coming from an otterbox, but I quickly adjusted.

Only downside is my screen protector is starting to come up across the bottom and it doesn't appear pushing it back will re-adhere it.

Oh yeah...rhinoshiled makes a screen protector too...there are videos out there of people testing it by hitting it with a hammer.

I drop my phone a lot, or throw it around.  But I basically bought it because it was the best one that looked like it had a good soft silicone grip.

Why stop there? If he REALLY cares about his phone, he'd want the ability to stop a 50 caliber bullet.
