Is a marriage of convenience doable? (1 Viewer)

Whelp, due to some mitigating factors, I am a married man living with my partner and son for apporixamtely 4-6 more months and then I am a free bird.  Has to be done but the spoken agreement is I do mine she does her.
I'd get something in writing, legal and all just in case... 4-6 months is a long time.

He didn't say what the delay of 4-6 mo is about. Could be about their son..
The part that concerns me is "I'll do mine and she does hers." If you are forced to stay together for a time period, no one should be "doing" any kind of extracurricular activities until you have moved out. Our kids are learning from us. Not to get preachy here, but I have seen a lot of damage done to kids witnessing the breakup of their parents marriage, and subsequent "insta-relationships" they each get into right away. Everyone has needs, but you have to do it the right way to preserve some shred of respect for the idea of a committed, loving relationship in your kids' eyes.
