/threadnot suprising though judging by your posts. not suprsing though.I think this year should be just as long as last year. And probably quite similar in length to next year.

..unless your friends tell you to.Its only 1 week , dont jump off the bridge yet.
you might be the most dramatic poster here. It's fantasy football. And...it's only week 1. chill out'ppierce said:Tough knowing that your team sucks already after week 1. I just dont know where consistant scoring is gonna come from.

Stafford was Sr Checkdown before his injury. I still see big things for Megatron. Just not meant to be. 2 almost TD's and he's on his way this week.
What can we expect out of Hill for Megatron? Personally I didn't love what i was seeing from Stafford anyway but who knows?
[QUOTE='ppierce]Drafted Calvin Johnson in 2nd round. SUCKS donkey turds.Remind me why I drafted Megatron over Roddy White and Reggie Wayne? I had this guy last year and didn't learn. The Lions are the Lions. I've bought into their preseason hype 4 years in a row now. This site nailed Nicks so far but had Cj at #2 behind AJ. I know its early but i have a bad feeling.

One thing I do know is those who didn't draft a RB in the first few rounds has very little chance at winning leagues this year. I have never the RB pool so thin, even in shallow leagues.
I'm not saying it can't be done, you're an exception so far but you're still counting on Kevin Smith staying healthy. What is your next option if & when he goes down? One thing I do know is those who didn't draft a RB in the first few rounds has very little chance at winning leagues this year. Last year around draft time it seemed like RB was really deep, but a lot of those guys didn't pan out. This year it seems like it's shallow, but there will be productive guys that you're not thinking of yet. In reality, RB production throughout the NFL probably won't be that much different than it was last year, it's just your perception that's changed. Over longer time scales, trends change (e.g. it's more of a passing league now than it was ten years ago) but from year to year it doesn't move so much that RB would be incredibly thin this year compared to recent years. As always, there will be a handful of studs who rush for well over 1000+ yards and 10+ TDs, there will be another pack of 12 or so middle tier guys who run for 1000 yards, there will be another pack of 12 or so guys who rush for 700-1000 yards, etc. Some years it just "feels" easier to identify who these guys will be.I'm not saying it can't be done, you're an exception so far but you're still counting on Kevin Smith staying healthy. that's a good point....For instance, BJGE ended up on 2 of my rosters as a RB4 and I was completely meh and looking to package him up...after watching him last night it looks like he might actually be a good player this year.Last year around draft time it seemed like RB was really deep, but a lot of those guys didn't pan out. Exactly. If this year's pool looks thin, then it just means we have to look harder. I doubt NFL teams as a whole are going to have wildly different rushing totals than they did last year or the year before. Someone is going to rush for all those yards. It might seem to be less clear this year who all those "someones" will be, but that doesn't mean that the RB position is actually less deep than it was. It may just mean that this is the year to be especially active on the waiver wire.that's a good point....For instance, BJGE ended up on 2 of my rosters as a RB4 and I was completely meh and looking to package him up...after watching him last night it looks like he might actually be a good player this year.Last year around draft time it seemed like RB was really deep, but a lot of those guys didn't pan out. or guys are going to get cheap home runs with their mid round depth guys like Ridley, Leshoure, K. Smith, Wells, Morris, etc..Exactly. I thought I did great getting Chris Johnson, Fred Jackson, and Willis McGahee in the first first 5 rounds. They combined for 13 points. What is the CBS debacle? We use CBS sportsline and I have no idea what you're talking about...Gonna be a long year just dealing with this CBS debacle. Unbelievable how badly they screwed up a good thing. I fully expect a mass exodus next season, barring some kind of refund/reformat maneuver.I think they effed up the initial waivers run tonight!
