Is Charles Scott being overlooked in Dynasty Leagues? (1 Viewer)

Or he may just suck lol.
Anyone who watched him in college already knew he sucked.
He looked pretty good running for 1174 yds and 18 tds in 2008 with a 5.4 ypc. Of course I'm sure you saw right through that and can now say that it was all the LSU line.
Big plodding backs with no wiggle can succeed in college. His style doesnt translate to the nfl where he cant just run over people...and yes i did see right through his "college" numbers. He was a decent college rb, with a style that doesnt translate to nfl football.
Are you 100% sure it just isn't the Eagles scheme? You don't think he could succeed in Pittsburgh (hypothetically assuming no Mendy of course)?

I dont get the eagles likely cutting him due to scheme. They want a power back to compliment mccoy, but scott is just a flat out a stiff. If he was an nfl quality power back he would fit great with mccoy.I don't see his skill set, or lack thereof, fitting in on any team.

OC Mornhinweg with extended comments on Charles Scott:

"He's doing a real good job. As you know he switched positions just a little bit. I think he's got the skill and ability to play both fullback and halfback. He's feeling his way just a little bit right now. He's thinking just a little bit too much. Everybody who plays for (running backs coach) Ted Williams plays well, plays at a high level. Ted will get him at some point playing just in a natural way, so that's what we're looking for there. I think he's got real good skill and ability where he can play both. He's a big, physical man, that has good running skills. He's a tough guy, strong, good feet, and so I think he's got a good opportunity here in front of him."
"We overload everybody. That's part of the deal here. We overload everybody and that's by plan. There are several things we can do with that. We learn real quick how quickly a guy can learn. The two positions thing, sometimes some guys motor through that pretty well. Other guys you need to get them back to one position. Now I will say, he came in as a halfback and then early in training camp he made a full-time switch to the fullback, however, he's done all of the run, footwork, and reads. Now, he can play halfback, but almost all of his time recently has been at fullback. I would expect him to play well this week. I'm excited to see him play."

Eagles trade Charles Scott for CB Jorrick Calvin

Jonathan Tamari of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles traded sixth round draft pick Charles Scott to Arizona for cornerback Jorrick Calvin, who was also a sixth round selection in April's draft.

Calvin, 5-foot-11, 184 pounds, had 76 tackles, two interceptions and nine pass break ups for Troy as a junior in 2008. He missed his senior season because he was academically ineligible.

Scott, drafted as a halfback, had disappointed and was moved to fullback during preseason. The team, however, typically carries just one fullback.

Well, I guess it's better than Philly......
He has a shot there. Wells or hightower get hurt and boom. In Philly, its a pass first offense and he had 3 guys ahead of him before he even gets to McCoy. So yea, better situation.
