If somebody's willing to offer you a great trade, then yes make the move. But this was not a fluke. Cotchery is going to have a huge year with Favre as his QB. What you saw today was just the beginning. I'm 100% convinced of that. His skill set is an ideal match for Favre. I think he's a more talented WR than Greg Jennings and we saw how good Jennings was last season with Favre. Cotchery has Top 15 potential in PPR leagues and should be a Top 20 WR in all formats this season in my opinion.

If he gets the same number of yards as the last couple of seasons but adds in some touchdowns then you're looking at a guy who at worst will be top twenty...unless somebody is really going to overpay for this guy he's a buy/hold. Favre and Cotchery were hooking up in the preseason and this appears to be the start of a great year.

He rotated in and out of the lineup. I'm guessing he's still not 100%. Favre did miss him in the end zone for a possible TD for what it's worth. He also had a shot at a second TD for Cotchery but that pass was broken up in the end zone.

Jennings is a better WR than Cotchery and it will be proven this year. Funny watching preseason how Packer WR had to adjust to a QB putting into their hands instead of all over the place. Nice start by the Jets but also look at who they were playing before we starting putting them at the top of the heap.Favre once again got away with that 2nd TD pass. If Coles doesn't become a dependable second option this team will struggle as Brett will once again revert back to forcing his throws and cause turnovers.

Yea that guy they had before was a real bum. I like Jennings a lot but I think Cotchery is a more talented WR. Just my opinion. The fact he caught 80+ passes the past two seasons while playing with mediocre (at best) QBs speaks volumes of his ability. I believed he was poised for a breakout season before the Favre trade, but once the Jets got Favre I shot him way up my projections and viewed him as a Top 15 WR in PPR formats.

Very balanced opinion from an objective observer.Wisconsin...really? Wow that was a such a suprise. Shocker. Packers fan? Naw, probably moved there from Minny, right?
It is amusing to see how people over react on week one. If someone wasn't sold on a player pre-season one week wont change their mind so you could realistically only "sell" him to someone who was already high on him. I don't see how you could get much more for him today than yesterday because only the really poor owners would be convinced that someone they thought was sub-par is a "stud" based on one game.

I watched almost every game Brett played in. People have short memory in that he was very average QB under Sherman and his regime as the Packer coach and GM. Brett can be real great and next play make the dumbest play you have ever seen. All most people want to recall is the good things, trust me as a diehard PACKER Fan, Brett Favre will cost the Jets two games this year with poor throws.I love Brett Favre put right now is not the player that a lot of people like to think he is.

I did make a sell high after one game, but it wasn't Cotchery. I think it would be nuts to sell Cotch, he is legit.LessThanZero

He's a hold right now. He's going to have a very, very good year. I'd say 5-10 ranked WR is his ceiling, top 25 is his floor, and he's far more likely to hit that 5-10 range than he is to hit that floor.
If he does put together a top 10 WR season, he might be a good Sell High candidate in dynasty/keeper leagues late in the year or in the early off-season. He's a very good WR, but Favre's still only got this year, maybe one more in him. Clemens is a bum, and Cotch will probably return to a WR2 if he stays there without the Jets acquiring a real QB to follow Favre. So if he has a breakout season and you can get top 10 WR value for him in dynasty/keeper leagues late this season or in the off-season, I'd at least consider it.
