Is Dallas defense going to suffer without Sean Lee? (1 Viewer)

The next five weeks are DST gold... but now they've lost Sean Lee. Is this going to hurt them?

What do you make of their performance versus Philly? An aberration?

Well he apparently was missed in coverage and his absence had a lot to do with Celek's big game.

Maybe Zach Miller is a good pickup for this week?

I would say it wasn't an aberration, but more a blueprint on how to attack them. They went from solid to very porous once Mr Lee left...

I guess you didn't watch the game. Philly was deliberately working Bradie James and Keith Brooking. Why do you think Celek and other receivers were wide open all night? Maybe Dallas will make adjustments but those two guys were terrible last week.

Yes it will be a downgrade for the Dallas Def.

If you have a RB, TE or posession receiver start them against Dallas so long as Lee is out. Lee was having a breakout year and it has directly effected the Dallas defense. That is why they are trying to get Bruce Carter on the field asap. Keith Brooking is finished and McCoy/Celek owned him all night.

It's an unfortunate injury, Lee was doing so well. I'm curious what Carter's role in the defense will be. I heard he's a rangy player but I think it was meant in terms of tackling, not sure how he is in coverage. Either way, he's a rookie, can't expect him to do what Sean Lee was doing.

YES. Significant loss for Dallas. Brooking has been horrible since before Atlanta cut him years ago.

lee has been one of the best LB's in the league this year. They are going from that to suck. It is going to be a big effect.
That certainly isn't reflected in the fantasy DST rankings anywhere that I've looked.
What that Lee has been one of the best players? He was player of the month for September.
I'm saying, whatever he meant to the team, most fantasy prognosticators, on pretty much any site I've checked, aren't giving them a big downgrade knowing he's absent this weekend.

That's all I'm saying.

A function of playing Seattle and most places not being good enough to account for a key player being out. A lot of projections are just average scores adjusted for opponent strength.

the only other guy on the D that would be a bigger loss would be D.Ware. We finally had a play maker @ ILB!

Carter was makin tackles all over the field in college. Fast, very good athlete. cant wait to see Lee/Carter combo on the field together.

Nor should they. he is a good player but just 1 guy.
