I have both Dillon and Maroney...so I'm rooting for Dillon to sit out for...I don't know...the whole year?
I thought it was his shoulder/neck? It was at the goalline there, and Vilma popped him good. From the replay, he head bounced back a little and when he went down, he stayed there. On the sidelines, by looking around the noob blocking the camera, it looked like they were working on his shoulder. Of course, noob could have done his job correctly and they were really looking at his leg. Who knows?Avery said:If he's fine, has a "tweaked" ankle, or his leg is in seven pieces he be listed on Bellichik's injury report as "Questionable" all the same.Very little information will come out of the Patriots camp, as ususal.![]()
Watching the game yesterday, when Dillon went to the bench, the Pats had a staffer go stand directly in front of the CBS camera that was trying to zoom in on the trainers working on Dillon. He basically ran over behind the bench, found the direct line between Dillon and the camera, folded his arms and looked right into the camera. That whole organization takes its cues from Coach Bill on the injury reporting. How do I get that job?Avery said:If he's fine, has a "tweaked" ankle, or his leg is in seven pieces he be listed on Bellichik's injury report as "Questionable" all the same.Very little information will come out of the Patriots camp, as ususal.![]()
I didn't watch the game closely, but if it helps you any.. of his 16 carries only one was for negative yardage (-1). Three carries were for just 1 yard. The rest were all over. Can somebody draw a analysis on Maroney's play? I have not been able to see him yet. Does he grind out tough yards? Or is he an a back who gets stuffed and then runs a long one once in awhile?
Not true. He'll be listed as probable, named the starter, and then he won't even dress for the game.Avery said:If he's fine, has a "tweaked" ankle, or his leg is in seven pieces he be listed on Bellichik's injury report as "Questionable" all the same.Very little information will come out of the Patriots camp, as ususal.![]()
I know a couple of them pretty well. I would be surprised if they didn't.I predict BB will say he is day-to-day in his afternoon presser. The real story will be if the beat writers have the balls to even ask him about Dillon.

Maroney plays like a big back with speed. He's not afraid to take the carry right up the gut and carry a defender or two along the way. He's actually like a young fast Corey Dillon. Can somebody draw a analysis on Maroney's play? I have not been able to see him yet. Does he grind out tough yards? Or is he an a back who gets stuffed and then runs a long one once in awhile?

Ya think?????I think this is all Maroney owners being hopeful
Hopeful in the fact that he is talented OR hopeful in the fact that Dillon may have suffered injury?I think this is all Maroney owners being hopeful

I am a Maroney owner and would never hope for injury. I just want to see continued progress/reliance from him. I was confident when I drafted him that his time would come, and did not anticipate a 50/50 mix between Dillon and him this year (so me = happyHopeful in the fact that he is talented OR hopeful in the fact that Dillon may have suffered injury?I think this is all Maroney owners being hopeful

Nothing in the local news about C.Dillon being hurt. I guess it can't be too bad.Hopeful in the fact that he is talented OR hopeful in the fact that Dillon may have suffered injury?I think this is all Maroney owners being hopefulNot me. I know what I saw from him in College, and I see the same things now. He doesn't have the Raw ability that a Reggie Bush has, but what he lacks there he makes up for with strength and patience. I don't remember seeing him catch too many balls in college. But I'm sure that will become part of his game as long as he's in NE. Lastly, he doesn't run backwards...or in other words, his body is always moving forward gaining positive yardage. With regard to being hopeful about a Dillon injury? Meh, why? He had 8pts last week and 12 this week. A 10 point/week average is pretty solid from a fantasy football perspective for a back selected well after your bonified starting RBs were...including Dillon. I started him over Dillon this week in the one league I have him and I'll continue to do so. Belichek operates the RBBC pretty well. I expect both backs to be decent fantasy options all year if healthy. Especially, as in my case, your other starter is one of the big 3.
And/or Patriots fans.I think this is all Maroney owners being hopeful
Yeah, that was messed up. Any updates on Kearse?http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/homeNews...il.jsp?id=55687After seeing the expression on Javon Kearse's face this weekend as he came off the field I'll never wish an injury upon anyone.

as a NE homer, I wouldn't count on that.NE/Belichick doesn't care if it's local news or ESPN, they/he doesn't want any info getting out except what he releases in the injury report.I'd expect that we'll see something like Dillon, questionable, upper body injury (or lower body injury). From what I saw, it looked like a shouder injury though we never got to see Dillon on the sidelines because Harry Potter was working as a bouncer for NE's training staff. But Dillon did hurt his shoulder in pre-season and maybe it's a re-aggravation of that injury?Nothing in the local news about C.Dillon being hurt. Dillon was in the locker room after the game and didn't look seriously injured to me. My hunch is that he's fine
