Well, he's probably not going to hit .350 forever but he should continue to be a productive hitter for his position.
Playing time has always been the issue for Doumit. So far, he's appeared in 20 out of the Bucs first 27 games. His 79 PAs are a little less than a full load for a regular catcher. He's not a strong defender, so he'll probably lose more ABs when he cools down on offense. On the plus side, he hits in the middle of the order when he does play, so he'll have more R/RBI opportunities than a guy batting 7th or 8th (or 9th in the case of Kendall).
I have Wolf and Doumit and am trying to trade both. Wolf is not durable and Doumit cannot keep this up. His career BABIP is .307 - he is at .367 this year. He has been a career LD% guy at 18%; he's only at 15% this year. His HR/FB ratio is a full 5 points above his career norm. He is walking at the lowest rate of his career, but so far, is also striking out far less than he has over his career.
The power is legit, but the batting average is not. 15% LD rates do not translate into .300+ averages unless you are hitting a ton of balls over the fence where they cannot be caught. Since he qualifies at catcher, who really cares if he is only hitting .250-.260 because he can hit 20 HRs this year.
