Is it time to put Lamont out to pasture ? (1 Viewer)

Lamont the last 2 weeks has been decent I mean last week 12 carries for 72 yards and the week before he put up a touchdown and 120.

Issue is -

A. against solid defenses the man seems non existent maybe you get 50 yards and maybe another 20 yards receiving if your lucky.

B. Shell's sudden love affair with Justin " Huggy Bear jr " Fargas

C. Maybe the worst O line last 15 years in NFL ! !

D. a Coaching staff running a 1967 offense ( or at least it seems as much )

E. No passing game and Lamont isn't really being used as a dump off guy - which is amazing being the QB has maybe 1 second to drop back before getting sacked - you would think he would get alot of dump offs like last year but NO ! ! !

F. The entire Oakland team seems totally apathetic and just running the motions.

I am now at a point where instead of Lamont in my flex ( keeper league other RB's are SA and Portis ) I am seriously looking at WR 3's like Galloway , Bryant , and R. Brown

Is Lamont - Kevan Barlow circa 2006 ?

He's following in Jamal's footsteps as a fat slow bum with no power or vision. Plus he's stupid as evidence by the lateral thrown his way that he just let the opposing team pick up and take to the house.

Fargas is ready to take over, 9.0 per carry.

I'm not sure about Lamont but I think it's time that a certain tracksuit-wearing owner was put out to pasture.

Does Adrian Peterson or Lynch (trade down) look to be an option??
do people here really think that lamont jordan is the problem with the raiders? or that lamont jordan is the problem for lamont jordan?
Not at all. Lamont is not the problem at all, he is one of the only bright spots on this offense. The guy is not "fat and slow" he has shown his power and explosiveness for how little of an opportunity the o-line gives him. Add in the fact that we have a coaching staff that took out our "future QB" and played Tui in a very good learning situation for Walter. This owner, coaching staff and the o-line have all got to go!All that being said, I'm looking to start Muhammad over him this week and possibly MBIII in another league.

please don't speak ill of the walking deadI saw the man die for a few seconds at the hall of fame ceremonyhe seemed to recover though

I wasn't watching the game last week - thank God - but I was wondering if Fargas entry into the action came before or after Jordan just stood there and let the 49er's trot into the end zone with the swing pass that was a lateral? That was brutal. Talk about lack of interest.

It isn't the OL. It isn't the fact that the Raiders suck.

It the stupid ####### coach.

Jordan ran it 12 times for 71 yards last week. That's 6 YPC. So what does Shell do...send him to the bench. The Justin Fargas wears out some guys playing a prevent defense and everyone is spooked.

Maybe they just need a coach with a clue. Seriously, as bad as Brooks sucked in NO, he was never this bad. Chalk it up to good ole Art Shell.

Nobody can ruin a talented offense more than Herman Edwards and Art Shell.

:lmao: Do you even realize that 30 of those 71 yards came late in the 4th Q., on 2 carries AFTER Fargas was ripping off his big gains? AFTER the score was 34-20. During the so called prevent defense you are talking about. Wow. Clueless.

He's the #35 back in my league, after scoring 5 points combined in weeks 1 and 2 and having his bye.

I don't think he's a candidate for "pasture", considering how important a position RB is.
