Is Steven Jackson being over hyped ( at least for NON PPR )? (1 Viewer)

I mean Yes he had a monster final 4 weeks - finishing 2,2,2,4 ( unless your in a #### week 17 title league those 4 TD's that week went wasted ) - ( 10 Total TD's in a month and over 150 total yards each game )

Weeks 1- 13

A grand total of 6 TD's -- Yes his yardage was there and his receptions were there but TD's were mediocre. If you weren't in a PPR league you might be cursing him a little becasue you likley took him in the first 6 picks last season ( at least after week 13 )!

Also in 05 remember how he fizzled late in the season.

The guy had a GREAT month and if you owned him and made the playoffs you likley did really well !

I still think he is top 5 of course just not the total slam dunk 1.2 choice at least in NOn PPR.

Personally give me LJ or Alexander who I know have a track record of consistency. ( in a redraft non PPR )

Jackson is only 23 and only getting better. With his schedule and in that offense, he is going to be a monster again this year. I wouldn't hesitate at #2. To me, he's a MUCH safer pick than Alexander or LJ. Alexander shouldn't even be in the conversation. Why take a guy who's best years are behind him? RB's turnover quickly in fantasy - give me the guy on the rise anyday.

 Jackson is a stud with a high power offense....I'll stick with that.

Jackson has issues (he won't catch 90 balls again), but all four guys after LT have questions . . .

A) Gore - only one year of production , subpar passing game, injury history

B) Alexander - coming off ugly year, age, OL issues

C) LJ - OL issues, QB problems

Not a "slam dunk" in non-PPR, I agree, but not too far from it. He simply has the fewest concerns vs the rest.

The Rams had a new playcaller weeks 14-17. Those just so happen to be the weeks Jackson exploded. That same person will be calling the plays this year.

Chew on that.
