Is the AFC really better than the NFC (1 Viewer)

The NFC is weaker because IMO, ANY of the 6 playoff teams in that conference have a shot at the SuperBowl. All of them. There's not one team in there I could honestly come out and say definitively that "This playoff team is better than this playoff team." They ALL could win that conference, assuming that a weak SF or Green Bay team doesn't somehow sneak into the #6 seed of course, but I doubt that.

Now, the AFC was strong last year because all 6 teams had a shot at the SuperBowl. But there's a difference. Last year, all 6 AFC teams were very strong. This year, the 6 likely NFC teams all have big weaknesses, and/or or very inconsistant.

I think most would agree that the top six teams in the AFC (SD, Balt, IND, NE, Cin, Den) are better than the top six in NFC (Chi, NO, Dal, Sea, NYG, Phi). I'm wondering if teams 7-12 in the AFC (NYJ, Jax, KC, Pit, Buf, Ten) might also be better than the top six in the NFC. Probably not, but it would be closer than the first matchup.
