Saw them for the first time when I was in Italy last December. They were trying to sell them everywhere.

I was just in Disney last week and heard they aren't allowed there. I was so happy to hear that.

yes, might have 2 actually. both belong to 11 year old daughter. both bought or gifted without my knowledge.

Not yet but my 13 y/o son will undoubtedly get one as soon as he can afford it because he is a product of his age. He is quite taken with his own self image and believes the world needs to see his wonderful self as it does all kinds of ordinary crap throughout the day.

Not sure. My 20 year old son likes gadgets and is kind of a hipster. He thinks the selfie sticks are stupid. Maybe they aren't cool enough anymore for hipsters.

I don't have one, but most of our marketing and sales guys were sent them from corporate for a social media project.

The project crashed and burned, but there are still about a dozen in the office.

Walk by the Bean some afternoon. Guaranteed to see a dozen selfie sticks in the span of 10 minutes. These things are everywhere tourists are these days. Not just the U.S., but Europe and Asia too with adults and teenagers.
