Is this Ballsy? (1 Viewer)

I have LT and FWP. FWP vs Ravens, last time he had only 3 points)

My opponent has SJAX but then has Maroney, Deangelo Williams, and C. Housten...garbage...

D. Rhodes is available on the WW and I pick before my opponent. If you pick up a guy you MUST start him.

Would you block your opponent from picking up Rhodes but have to sit FWP?

Rhodes vs Texans possibly without Addai, or

FWP vs Ravens but has been on fire of late...

WW starts at 11pm...any thoughts??

No, don't overthink this. Play with what got you there. If you don't, you will look back and want to slap yourself. Instead, you will probably just kick your dog.

Not as ballsy as putting a team management question on the main page
I would say there obviously is a little bit of a request involved here, but I'm also wondering what others would do in this situation. I guess I could have left the names out and it wouldn't seem so much like a team management question, and just create a poll to see what guys would do here.

thanks

I don't know how confident I am about Rhodes doing that well either, so I can't say the blocking idea sounds too good to me in the particular situation you describe.

Having said that, the decision is not so much a matter of whether to block or not to block in principle, but really just a matter of how many fantasy points you project various players to score. Once you've made your projections, if the expected gap between Parker (you) and Rhodes (him) is greater than the expected gap between Rhodes (you) and whoever you think he would be starting if he can't get Rhodes (factoring in potential WW pickups he could make other than Rhodes as well), you should stick with Parker. Otherwise, go with Rhodes.

I wish my opponent was starting FWP. I wouldn't want to start anyone against the Raven D. Hard to bench FWP though... Hopefully he'll get a TD for you.

Teams have been averaging over 4.0 YPC on the Ravens the last few weeks. The Browns averaged over 4 YPC last week on 16 carries. The previous week the Ravens kept LJ out of the Endzone...but he still racked up 120 yards, and over 4.0 YPC.

FWP racked up 132 & a TD on a very good Carolina Defense last week & as you remember....over 200 the week before against the Browns.

I'm going with what got me to the Championship Game in the league I have FWP. I'm starting him over McGahee.
