Is TO's Last Game An Aberration? (1 Viewer)

Peep It Yo!

Footballguy
I hate TO as much as the next guy, but since I have him on one of my fantasy teams, I have to ask the question...was this game the starting point that he needed to get rolling?

I am thinking of dealing him after his big game and have someone that is interested in a Rudi Johnson and Anquan Boldin for Lamont Jordan and TO deal.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat. Glenn is still Bledsoe's go-to guy...and buying Rudi Johnson low is gold.

What combination of Rookie picks is T.O. worth in a 16-team dynasty league?

include 2008 or 2009 picks if you desire.

TO's becoming a Bubba Franks. Short TDs and crappy yardage.

Ok, I'm kidding, but his yardage has been terrible.

They played an easy game against the Texans, and I'm sure that Bledsoe and Parcells both thought it was best if they threw Owens the ball in a the end zone a few times.

Now is the time to dump him. His stock will never be higher than after a three touchdown game.

Why is buying Rudi low gold right now? The O line is a mess, Levi is out for who knows how long, and the schedule is brutal.I'd stay away from himBoldin is the gem in that deal that makes me think about doing it.

incorrect.Targets thru Week 6:

TO - 46

Glenn - 36

Red Zone Targets thru Week 6:

TO - 8

Glenn - 5

GL Targets - 2 each

3rd Down Targets:

TO - 17

Glenn - 15

You can argue it's a split, but I don't see where the data backs your statement up.

I think it's definitely an aberration. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry Jones issued a "make TO happy" directive in light of the problems with his receivers coach. But you can't do that every week, so it was just a bottle to satisfy a crying baby.

How quickly people forget. TO is one best in the game when he's on the field. If he's playing he has the ability to put up huge #'s each week.

:goodposting:I love me some TO from here on out...go get you some
If you're willing to deal with the "TO risk" I think it's a good strategy to acquire him. Owners will be trying to dump him but he's a top 5 wr as long as he's on the field.

T.O. is as talented as ever, but he still hasn't got his routes timing together too well with Bledsoe yet. This should continue to improve throughout the season and that would make his future very bright. Especially with the huge threat that Glenn brings to the table that will keep Owens from being double teamed all of the time. T.O. could be a top 5 WR in the second half, but could also continue to put up mediocre yardage for the next few games.

He may appear like a sell high right now and for a little awhile longer, but you're going to want/need him at playoffs time. That to me is a buy low, however the price just went up after this last game.

Owens will not score 3 TDs again this year. Of course scoring 3 TDs in an aberration. However, I believe this is a sign of a turnaround for TO. It will help him regain his confidence and get back to catching the ball like he used to. His value is higher than it will be all season since he did score 3 TDs. It will not slip much, though.

I don't know. I've watched the Cowboys and Bledsoe is just awful. The offense is not a good fit for Owens and he doesn't get the separation from DBs that he used to. I'm trying to deal him while people still associate top 5 WR with the TO name.

Sounds like you're judging Bledsoe from watching one or two games. He did have two bad games, but was really good in the other games.

I've watched him every game. He is what he is. Terribly immobile, but good at throwing the deep ball: which actually benefits Glenn more than TO.

He'd be fine for TO if every pass play wasnt a 7 step drop behind a terrible pass blocking line. They need to look up something called the quick pass and specifically the slant to TO, best way to make a defense pay for blitzing. Why try to throw the ball 40 yards in the face of an overload blitz when you can hit TO on one step and he is behind the blitzing linebackers and running over safeties for a huge gain? There a few offenses in the league running circa early 90s offensive schemes- and Dallas and Oakland are the main culprits. You cant send out 2 WRs deep and have everyone else block and be successful any more. If TO, Glenn, and Moss cant get open before a pressure or a sack, no WRs in the league can. Has anyone in Dallas heard of a hot route? For Parcells benefit it doesnt refer to Route 66.

The stats will fool you on this one. I've watched every game and when the game was close and they needed to pick up yard and/or TD, Glenn has been the guy.Glenn has been clutch all year. I'd call last game an aberration for TO.
I don't care if he has 10 catches for 10 yards each all on 3rd and 20.Bottom line:

- TO gets opportunities

- Opportunities = FF success
