Is Yahoo down? (1 Viewer)

My office draft starts in 8 min. We're all here with pizza and booze. Huge bummer if it doesn't come back up.

 
Yahoo down for my draft as well. Starts in 45 minutes. Got people at the house ready to go. Hopeing (praying it comes up soon)!

 
Same problem here. Can't get into the league site. Have tried from my work, home and cell connections and nothing. Draft is scheduled to start in about 10 minutes. Seems that Yahoo is having problems with both the fantasy baseball and football. Nice!

 
Work league now in chaos. one guy was planning to draft from home. No one is prepared to do a pen/paper draft.

Kind of hard to cancel a draft that everyone has already shown up for...not to mention, once it's back up, there will probably be a land grab for any remaining time slots.

Actually, these sites rankings piss me off for the most part. Anyone could pick the first 3 rounds, but its when they have guys like Hightower, Ingram, Daniels, Graham, Dez, Manningham, Mike Thomas, etc ranked higher than the FF magazine the same people were using 5 years ago that bothers me. Yahoo should make you do your own damn rankings!
 
bummer. big time.

i think our 14 man league just turned into a 12 man league.

i understand that its a service that i dont pay for, but all the same, many weeks of coordinating down the shooter.

All the rankings are re-ordered...that must have been the reason....fan f'n tastic.

All my yahoo-rankings-based assumptions thrown out the window.

What do you mean by that? Like how screwed up their rankings were before? I'm in a free but competitive league that drafted August 21 and they still had Ryan Williams like #34, a week or more after his injury.Their crappy rankings really turned me off of ever using Yahoo again.

They updated the Yahoo rankings 2 days after Williams was reported out for season (August 20th) and removed him completely.Not sure why you would make something like that up...kinda sad. It's not Yahoo's fault you don't read the news and drafted R.W. without reading the previous day's news :hophead:

I didn't make anything up. Our draft was August 21, the injury was August 19. LeShoure was gone, but Ryan Williams was ranked #34 on ours, I specifically remember, even though the N/A was next to his name, because people had to keep passing him up until an AFK guy got stuck with him because of autopick

If you dont do your own, why wouldnt you use FBG's composite rankings? :confused:
 
Woah woah woah...

People are mad because Yahoo updated their projections/draft list, thus "screwing their draft assumptions"?

Here's a suggestion... Prepare as if you're drafting with people who know something about the sport as opposed relying on yahoo to mask your "value" picks.

Good posting. Does it really matter what the composite rankings are from site x?

I feel like it gives people who might have overlooked/underrated player X something to re-evaluate a player and possibly take them, when otherwise they wouldve been an afterthought.
