Thanks. Pead is an interesting player. Watching him against NC State on tape. As a pass protector he could be very good. Funny think is the first opportunity he had was a poor effort wait for an edge rusher to hit him and the LB used a swim move to come over the top of Pead, sack the QB, and cause a fumble. But on his next four chances to pass protect he was good - sometimes very good. He had a textbook punch, hand placement, and turn of a blitzing LB to clear the edge for his QB to scramble for a 13-yard TD in the next series. Then he picks up a safety blitz two series later and the play after that, executes a strong cut block on a DE one-on-one off the left edge - getting the angle perfect and rolling through the contact to drive the defender away from the QB's passing lane.

I'm not sure yet if I believe in him as a future every down back, but I think he could be valuable on third down with a little more consistency as a blocker.
