I'm going to Israel for a work trip.  Wife wants to make a vacation out of it before my work actually starts.  That means we can stay in Jerusalem even though my work is in tel Aviv.  If that matters.

Anyone have any recommendations on where to stay?  Assume we will be visiting the standard tourist destinations.

Gloria Hotel inside the old city. I stayed there for about 4 nights a few years ago.

Arrived earlier this week.  Just finished a two day tour to petra/jerash with a night spent in a Bedouin camp between.  Simply awesome.

Red Sea and Masada were highlights of my visit as an 8yo. Also climbing mt Sinai.
