I think the Eagles would be very smart to pick him up ASAP
Bruce is the third leading receiver in NFL history. The two guys in front of him didn't play for just one team, either.how does this guy not retire a ram?be a damn shame
Doesn't mean it should be that way. It was sad to see Jerry Rice don a Raiders uniform of all things (let's not mention that Denver try out), too.Bruce is the third leading receiver in NFL history. Don't forget about Seattle.Doesn't mean it should be that way. Since you mentioned Seattle, that might be another potential landing spot for Bruce. I really don't know what to expect from Deion Branch at this point, and that knee may very well not be ready to go. Seems like he'd fit well in that offense.Don't forget about Seattle.Doesn't mean it should be that way. Seattle would be a terrible fit for Bruce IMHO. The 'hawks prefer their receivers to have stone hands and be incapable of generating YAC.Since you mentioned Seattle, that might be another potential landing spot for Bruce. I saw that someone wrote in another thread and I think makes sense but why would he play for less in St. Louis, didn't they only win like 2-3 games last year?Same thing happened with Bruce a year or two ago. Another team could swoop in but he will most likely sign back with the Rams.
And the Largent Unretired Jersey Fiasco. And it's just sad to see any good or likeable player sign in Oakland.eta: My guess is that unless another team offers him something sweet, he'll re-sign in StL and finish up there. If he doesn't then he'll do a one day contract when he wants to retire.Doesn't mean it should be that way. "I left for Martz, in San Francisco...."
It would be like Franco Harris in a Seahawks jersey...Johnny U in a Chargers jersey...Joe Montana in a Chiefs uni...Jim McMahon in a Chargers uni, then a Eagles jersey, then a Vikes jersey, then a PACKERS jersey at the Super Bowlhow does this guy not retire a ram?be a damn shame
I think Parcells will give him a look to help groom Ginn and Hagan. Just a hunch...
I wouldn't know where to look at YAC numbers but I think Bruce's (and Holt's) YAC numbers are at or below average as of the last couple years. They seem to catch the ball and dive if there is a player w/in 3 yards. If anyone can point me the direction of where to find this stat I will post. I will say that he posted the lowest YPC since his rookie year, second lowest amount of receptions and second lowest YPG since his rookie year.Hopefully he can retire with the Rams but local sports talk radie claims he turned down $3m a year to play this year.Seattle would be a terrible fit for Bruce IMHO. I was thinking the same thing as soon as I saw Bruce was released. He'd be a nice replacement for Stallworth's departure. Can I mention the Patriots?
Only Frerotte looked Bruce's way just as much as Holt's (or so it seemed). Losing a solid WR2 on the other side is not a good thing for Holt.Next Season its Torry Time!!!
The Iggles would be foolish not to go after him.I think the Eagles would be very smart to pick him up ASAP![]()
Good thing I grabbed Bennett in 2 dynasties last yr.
