I'm not sure this belongs in here, so Mods feel free to move it or let me know where I should've posted it...
Basically, I'm the commish in this free Yahoo! league (yeah, I know...
).
Now, the way I envisioned our priority system to work is... at the start of the first game of the week, ALL of the FA's get transferred onto the Waivers and remain there until Wednesday morning. So, if anyone wants someone during the weekend, it would be based on their priority which is determined by the resulting standings. This is how everyone understood it on draft day.
Yahoo! is not doing this. It's basically a free for all at any time, unless the player was dropped by another coach. So last week, there were a few coaches that were able to add players to their roster during games, and I got a call from a couple of the other coaches complaining about it.
So, I sent an e-mail to my league last week stating that I will be manually enforcing the priority system. To do this, I will lock all teams, preventing them from adding/dropping players at the start of the first game of the week, and will wait until Tuesday morning (~8am) to unlock them. If any coaches wanted any players, they would have to post a message (timestamped) on the board stating the player(s) they wanted and the player(s) they will drop, along with note stating in what order they wanted said player(s).
After figuring out the standings and priority list, I will manually complete all transactions, adjust the priority list acccordingly, and then unlock all coaches.
Was this the way to handle it? I know it will be a lot of work for me, but I'm willing to do it if it's the right thing to do.

This is exactly why I'm doing what I'm doing.ETA: I'm catching a little slack from one of the coaches b/c he didn't replace his only kicker Vinatieri (even though he got smashed by his opponent this weekend). He's quiet all week until he loses and then decides to say something.
