Its definitely the year of the QB (1 Viewer)

I made it to the semifinals in 5 of my 6 dynasty leagues that made the playoffs. Look at the QBs I'll be facing next week in each of those leagues-

Brady, Brady, Manning, Romo, Big Ben.

Just more proof that this was the year of the QB. I have never taken a QB in the first 4 rounds of ANY draft in over 10 years of playing FF, but next year, I may do just that.

Anyone else here NOT facing a Brady, Manning, Romo type QB next week?

My opponent owns Brady and RomoI own Farve

My QB...Favre

Still left (well, until tonight)...

Romo, Anderson, Kitna, Palmer, Warner.

Basically only Palmer was a high draft pick. (3rd round)

Unless Roddy White gets hit by a bus tonight, it looks like it's going to be:

Palmer

Romo

Hass

Manning

If Manning doesn't make it, Brady will.

I'm the poor cousin when it comes to QBs this year. I have Warner, Campbell, and Garcia (I know to many but our rosters are pretty big and I only carry 1 DST (Pats) and 1 kicker. Anyway I just knocked the Peyton team this weekend and I have Romo next weekend. The other teams have Brady and Hasselbeck. Brees owner fell to Hasselbeck this weekend. Next year I'm hunting for QB early. First this league drafts them "to" early and I hated having to worry about my QB all season long.

In my start 2QB $$$ league (my first and longest standing league), I just wrapped up my first ever undefeated regular season (14-0) out of literally hundreds of fantasy leagues played over the years. My QBs have been a HUGE part of that reason:

Tony Romo

Brett Favre

Eli Manning

Having Romo and Favre as every week starters has been enormous because I took my QBs probably the latest of anyone (Romo was the 8th QB drafted, Favre the 14th, Manning 15th...I took them back to back).

I'm facing Brady in one league (i have ben)

And in a bizarre twist of fate...in the other league I have Brady and I might be facing Ben.

(depends on the game tonite...if not Ben, I'll be facing manning, but not the good one, the one on the Giants)

The 4 starting QB's for the 4 playoff teams are

Romo, Brady, Brees and Pick of the Week (Gerrard/Cutler/McNabb etc)

Our top 2 seeds get a bye.

The #1 seed has Romo.

The #2 seed (my team) has Brady.

#3 seed has Payton Manning.

#4 seed has Carson Palmer.

#5 seed has Philip Rivers.

#6 seed has Warner / Garrard.

#1 nobody, both hurt. Bulger, Schaub

#2 Brady

#3 Romo

#4 Brees

#5 Cutler

#6 Favretastic. With any luck tonight, I remove Romo from contention and go against 'nobody'.

6 playoff teams:

#1 Seed: Hasselbeck(My team)

#2 Seed: Palmer

#3 Seed: Favre

#4 Seed: Brady

#5 Seed: Roethlisberger(Started the Year with Young...then traded late in the year for Big Ben)

#6 Seed: Romo

After this last weekend it looks like seeds 3 and 4 beat seeds 5 and 6 so, Hasselbeck, Palmer, Favre and Brady are left...

Assuming Brees scores at least 7 points tonight, QB of remaining teams are

1. Hasselbeck (my team)

2. Brady

3. Romo

4. Favre/Brees (E. Manning if Brees scores less than 7)

E. Manning and Palmer eliminated this weekend.

wk 15: I'll have either Eli vs WAS or Tarvaris vs CHI against Brady in the league that matters, haven't decided yet.

Wk 16: Warner or P Manning

wk 15: I'll have Ben or Favre against Romo in the one that doesn't, most likely Favre vs STL this time, since Ben goes against JAX.

wk 16: Garrard or Kitna

#1 Romo/T.Edwards

#2 Brady/Farve

#3 V.Young/Warner

#6 P.Manning/Garrard (my team)

#4 D.Anderson/Bulger/Campbell

#5 Rivers/Huard

#1,#2 got byes. #5 beat #4 because of the Seahawks defense and #3 needs 9.8 from Roddy White to beat #6 with 1 point per 3 receptions, 1/10 for every yard and 3 points per touchdown.

Let's go Saints Defense!!!!!!!

Remaining playoff QBs in my leagues (listed in order by seed):

Palmer, Romo, Hasselbeck, Brady

Roethlisberger, Palmer, Brady, McNabb

Brady, Warner, McNabb, Favre, Edwards (not a typo), P Manning

I just faced Garrard in one playoff game

I just faced Boller in the last reg season game

Had a bye in the third league

QB's left

League 1 (by seed): Romo, Manning (me) Brady, Brady (2 conferences with separate drafts for each)

League 2 (seeding to be determined) : Garrard/Kitna (me), Romo/Roth, Garcia/Rosenfels/Schaub, Favre, Manning or Brees (to be determined), Brady or E Manning/Rivers/Redman (to be determined)

League 3 (by seed): Brady, Brees/Roth (me), Manning, Garcia/Bulger (Romo/E Manning and Favre/McNabb teams just eliminated)

League 4 (by seed): Brady, E Manning/Garrard, Derrick Anderson, Manning/Hasslebeck (me)

I'm not surprised to see Brady's name alot. Manning, Romo and Roth seem to be well represented as well. What does surprise me a little is Garrard's name showing up as much as it is.

Good Luck to all still alive!

Glad to see some Garrard owners in here. His consistency, combined with my strengths at other positions, has allowed for a very successful season (so far).

The Three Leagues I'm in have the following final 4 QB's:

1) Romo, Manning, Favre, Brees/Anderson

2) Brees, Brady, Hasselbeck, Favre

3) Palmer, Romo, Kitna, Manning

Both the leagues in which Brady did not carry their team were hit hard by injuries and that was too much for them to overcome. Favre and Romo were definitely great value picks to carry teams over the edge as well...

Things could change with the Monday nighter but it's looking like:

Brady(1) vs. Romo(4)

Favre(2) vs. Roethlisberger(3)

I am the Favre owner and have been in 1st for many weeks but will likely lose that on point differential after tonight... just need a big game from Colston.

week 15:

1. bye (Brady)

2. Brees or Schaub (VY, Ben, or Warner)

3. Brady (probably, could be Palmer depending on MNF) (Garrard)

4. Cutler and Feeley or CPep (Palmer and Brees)

Aside from Brady, I'm not overly impressed (italics are mine)

12 team league - 4 teams make the playoffs

#1 Team - Div Winner - Favre & Eli Manning

#2 Team - Div Winner - Derek Anderson

#3 Team - Div Winner - McNabb

Man, I wish we hadn't changed rules this year to switch from 2QB starters to 1QB. I am still 11-3 (HTH luck, breakdown is 21-7 versus the 2 teams I am 0-3 against), but I would have been even better since my QBs are Brady, Romo and Derek Anderson. They are 1, 2 and 4 in my league (1, 5 and 11 overall) and fortunately because of a flex spot, I have been at least able to start Brady and Romo every week. Under last year's rules, I would have been able to start all 3 every week.GDB DA though, because I would be in tough shape in a week 17 championship if Romo and Brady rest.

League #1

Romo

Favre

Roeth

Brady

Hass

McNabb

League #2

Brady/Romo

Roeth

Palmer

Cutler/Warner/Rivers

League #3

Brady

Warner

Romo

Roeth

PManning

Brees

League #4

Roeth

Brady

Brees

Campbell (team was actually last in points scored and didn't log in once all season long, but finished 4th out of 12)

PManning

Hass

League #5

Brady

PManning

Roeth

Rivers

I'm the Roeth owner in all 5 leagues. :lmao:

1. Brady

2. Big Ben, Warner, (and Derek Anderson for most of the season, traded him off a few weeks ago.)

3. Eli Manning, Kitna

4. Bulger, Vince Young

Knocked Romo out tonight - TY Colston.

The final 4 are:

Big Ben (me) vs. Brady

and

Warner vs. McNabb

14 team redraft - I might have a chance if Brady gets pulled w 300/3 if NE gets up by 30 in the 3rd.

The fact that there are so many productive QBs this year makes drafting one early LESS attractive, not more.

My league can start 2 QBs and we give 6 pts per TD pass.....QBs are huge.

I am playing against P Manning and Anderson in the semifinals......I have Romo and Roethlisberger.

If I win, most likely I will be playing the team that has Brady and Hasselbeck.

6 of my leagues top 7 QBs are on teams still alive in the playoffs.........so yes, it is the year of the QB.
