Just turned the channel on it for the first time.

I bore through it when they signed Irvin.

I cringed through Berman's tired shtick every week...

But after that opening segment, that's it for me. I can't do it anymore.

I do have a real question in here, though. How in the world does this show get the ratings to justify this crap? Are more people really tuning in to watch Irvin yell at Jaworski, and vice versa?

Is this what the casual football fan wants, or has ESPN just lost touch? I would think a huge organization like that would know what they're doing...so maybe I'VE lost touch.

What do you think?

I think there's nothing else on the TV at that time that's football related.

Sorry Keys the official ruling from the Touch Committee just came down and it's not looking good for you.If it makes you feel any better I was ruled out of touch years ago when ESPN signed Stuart Scott.

Agree.I switch back and forth w/NFL total access.

I have no idea how they got Jaws to do that "jacked up" segment.

I think MNF is going to unwatchable this season with the sound on. The crew they have now just never shuts up and if that wasn't enough they have TWO sideline reporters. Do you really need 5 talking heads to cover a football game?

Does CBS radio still broadcast the MNF game?

GDB "SportsEntertainment" that isnt related to Wimmens Beach Volleyball

The grass is always greener.I use to think Madden was a pain. I'd take anybody over Theisman any day of the week. LT needs to go up to the booth and end his broadcasting career as well.

All I want is a professional broadcaster. Thats all. Used to be the best of the best and you'd sprinkle in a jaw-jacking ex player or two to make the show more palatable to the masses, but this has gotten out of control.Bless his heart, but Theisman is the final straw.

Theisman may be bad but I'd take him over Paul Maguire any day of the week.GB not hearing "Watch his feet" any more.

Every day I thank the Lord that I don't have to listen to Maguire, Patrick and Theisman calling a game. I honestly don't care who is calling the game as long as I don't have to listen to that triumvirate of idiocy.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a choice? They should have a pair of commentators for the average folks, another pair for more depth analysis, another with profanity, etc.

Amen. Berman is a load who's time has come and long gone, and Irvin, well, can someone please tell me how this screaming mush mouth still has a job? Yeesh.....

Berman just doesn't say anything that's informative or interesting regarding football. His jokes and nicknames are tired, and he's puts me to sleep.

I'm in the minority with Theisman -- as I actually agree with some of the stuff he says.

I had to check to see if this was from 2005... or 2004... or 2003. I can go on.

But I still watch... if there are fantasy/gambling implications of course.

Basically I can handle (actually like) Jaws and Mort. The rest, I'd change the channel if something better was on.

I'm thinking about watching Everybody Loves Raymond.

I may have seen this episode, but at least Irvin won't be yelling at me.

I like the radio AM broadcast by Marv Albert and Boomer E. But when you have digital cable, its hard to get the tv and radio in sinc.

My favorite part is when they decide to "break out' over to the turf area for some NFL play illustrations.Tom Jackson is about all that is left w/ any watchability (my new word of the day)

AND I HATE THEISMAN!!! How he got that job is beyond me. He absolutely sucks. Bring back Dennis Miller... Though I agree it's nice not to hear 'watch his feet...watchhisfeet...watchhisfeet'

You watch NFL Countdown and immediately turn the channel when you see Michael Irvin and Mike Ditka

Only to flip the channel to NFL Network and see Deion Sanders

It is like having to choice between a kick in the nuts 20 times or having a broom stick shoved up you know where

But I will say that Michelle Tafoya is looking pretty good. Starting to catch up to Suzy Kolber who always looks like she has been well active if you know what I mean. :pics:

I'd be tempted to really look for the SAP button so I could hear it in Spanish...and I know absolutely zero Spanish outside of taco and the word for rear end. :bag:
