Its playoff time..........who are you heavily invested in? (1 Viewer)

I was fortunate enough to make the playoffs in 4/4 leagues, but no byes in the two appropriate leagues.

Each year I think its good to take note of the players who rise up and help guys win championships. I have a list of players here somewhere, who seemed to "come on strong" in the last few weeks, and help surging owners teams win.    (similar to Tim Hightower last year, and Odell Beckam Jr before that)

This year, I think it is interesting to note the players who seem to be on the majority of playoff teams.

Personally, I am heavily invested in JAMEIS WINSTON, having him in 3 spots. (not so much during the regular season, only late/playoffs).  MIKE EVANS is another I have , he is on 2 squads.

I also oddly enough have someone I was not very high on, DEMARCO MURRAY. I own him in 2 leagues, and he has of course been a monster. I also have MELVIN GORDON in 3 leagues, again he has put up great numbers through sheer workload.

Who are any of you heavily invested in for the playoffs?

In the playoffs in 3 leagues (2/4 dyno and my only redraft), players I have on multiple teams:

Eli Manning, 2 (probably won't start ahead of cousins in one)

McCoy, 2

OBJ, 2

Wallace, 2 but right now benched in one for Malcolm Mitchell

Enunwa, 2 but benched in both

Aqib Talib, 2 (rock chalk)

In my main league, I've been stacking Pittsburgh big time. Big Ben, A Brown, and Bell have been on my roster all season, but I just picked up L. Green as insurance for Olsen.

If Pittsburgh collapses at all during these upcoming weeks, so does my championship hopes.

I have 3 playoff teams:

Julio - 2

Ingram - 2

Rawls - 2

Watkins - 2

Fitzgerald - 2

Crowell - 2

Martin - 2

Mitchell - 2

Patriots D - 2

Bailey - 2

Pretty heavy on the Saints too. I have Brees, Thomas, Ingram, Hightower.

I'm invested in so many players, I just sit back and watch the games while pulling more for my favorite league than the others.
But I did have Hopkins on many teams this year, which leads me to the thread that should be started. Bust of the Year.

After looking back at my rosters, there is another I am heavily invested in, and thats ADAM VINATIERI.

He isn't really the type of profile I am looking for though, as he won't be a true difference maker down the stretch.

I'm kind of getting the feeling a WR might come out of nowhere like ROBBY ANDERSON  .  He come to mind immediately as someone who may shock some in these next few games.

If Bryce Petty chucks it his way 12+ times a game like he did last week (and Brandon fades into retirement like a few are speculating) then Anderson may be a great snag for the last few weeks.

Oddly enough, I need a WR3 in my biggest league, but I just don't have the balls to acquire and play Anderson yet. IT IS BRYCE PETTY right?

I'm debating on plugging in Anderson over Corey Coleman in what may turn into a blizzard in Cleveland...but I don't have the stones to do it just yet.

I just might by the time the weekend rolls around.

In 2 leagues and in 2 playoffs...the only players I have on both teams are Gronk (oof) and Alfred Morris.

Whereas my one team would benefit greatly from a Zeke slowdown, my other team has him so I'm not exactly rooting for that,

Amazingly, I'm in four leagues and have the bye in all four. The main reason is I have DJ in three of them. And he plays Seattle week 16 so I'm a bit concerned.

I've got these 4 guys in all 3 of my leagues, hopefully wr injuries won't kill me.

Michael Thomas NO - WR

Tyrell Williams SD - WR

David Johnson Ari - RB

Thomas Rawls Sea - RB

Otherwise I've got solid but different QB and DEF in each league.

Saints offense.

I only have 2 teams, and one missed the playoffs. The one that made it has Brees, M.Thomas, Snead, Ingram & Hightower. With Ingram & Thomas both hurt, it may lead to subbing in Snead / Hightower, but any way you slice it, having a QB, RB and WR from one team is a lot of eggs in one basket.

Especially since they play AZ in AZ in week 15. I have Brees, Cooks, and Thomas in my main league and I'm sweating that game a bit.

Yes - I've been eyeballing that for weeks now.

That said, Brees had done very well against elite defenses on the road this year already.

IMO this week at TB is a must-win for the Saints, as it keeps them in the playoff hunt. I like Brees & Co a lot more in week 15 if they have something to play for.

Wait, so Matt Barkley's going to be throwing to a guy playing in another stadium?   Must have one hell of an arm.
HA!, thats why you shouldn't post after taking something to help sleep.     :excited:

Unisom and several pages of fantasy football notes don't mix.    :D

I have DJ in one league, and it looks like I will be playing him in one league in week 1 of the playoffs (next week), and facing him in another.

Sucks to have playoff matchups like that where you start a guy in one, and face him in another. A blow up game practically ensures you a win in one, and a LOSS in another.

You can't bench DJ as he is the #1 fantasy RB in most formats.

2 Years ago I had  (on 3 playoff teams) Julio Jones, Demaryius Thomas and Jordy Nelson. (each one in 2 leagues)  And in one of those I started Julio Jones, Demaryius Thomas and Odell Beckham Jr. Our leagues are "start 3 WR" leagues.

This certainly seems more fun when you are heavily invested in a few players across all your leagues.

It tends to take a little of the steam out of it when you have say 2 key players in one league, and are facing them in the others. (though it does make it more interesting with the lesser plays though)

I'm still trying to wrap my head around championship week 16, most of the games will be on a Saturday this year, and not Sunday.  The fantasy championships will be spread out across that three day stretch this year, with the bulk of it on Saturday.

On my teams, I have few if anyone going on Sunday.

I think I have all my guys going on Saturday in my 2 biggest leagues, with maybe a TE or a kicker going on Sun/Mon in a small league.  Its going to suck having to sweat everything out on Sunday and Monday with almost no one going those days........IF I MAKE IT THAT FAR.

I suspect most owners haven't looked that far in advance or paid much attention to it, but this year the action will be different and spread out during championship weekend. I know its usually a game or two on the Saturday in question, but all but 3 games I believe will be on Saturday.

Two leagues, and in both facing the 7 seed and in both I am predicted to lose.  What is strange is I only two common players between my teams (Booker (ugh) and Antonio Brown), but both teams I am facing have Winston, Miller, Tate and Brate at their dispoal and all 4 of those players are projected to have big games.
