Jackson and Spiller to Split evenly the workload (1 Viewer)

If I had to play one, it would probably be Jackson. He should get goal line work and seemed the better bet to play all week.

That being said, nobody will truly know until the action unfolds. Go with your gut, or another option not in Buffalo if you have one.

Spiller can do more with less so IMO he should technically be the better play. Rotoworld is calling them each a RB2/Flex, I dunno.

It's going to be painful watching Spiller go off on my bench today.

Can't start him over Sproles or Martin, though.

This is a good rationale and my thoughts as well. I don't see Spiller scoring unless he takes it in from a ways out. He's also one big shot away from being done for the day. You could probably say that about both but my gut says FJax is just a smidge healthier.

I own Lynch/Sproles and all 3 Buff RB's. need to start one of the 3. Really wish ( for a lot of reasons) Spilller was inactive. Thought Choice was the play. Now that's out. So do II choose gimpy leg with a brace or a bum shoulder?

Might be conjecture but worth noting:

Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe suggests C.J. Spiller (shoulder/chest) may only be a decoy in Week 4 against New England.

Bedard is a Patriots beat writer, keep in mind. He doesn't cover the Bills. Still, he's at the stadium and ostensibly saw Spiller in warmups. Starting Spiller is going to have to require a leap of faith in fantasy football leagues. We have no idea how much he'll be used with Fred Jackson active and starting. There's probably as good of a chance of that happening, or better, than FJax getting multiple carries inside the 5yd line.

:wall: Stop complicating my thoughts.

You might be right.

Sigmund Bloom @SigmundBloom now

more warnings on Spiller RT @salmaiorana Spiller is out there, but looks ginger. We'll see.

This is really going to be a toss up. Good cases made for both sides. Jackson is starting and would get goalline carries. Spiller didn't hurt his legs and has proven he can do a lot with little touches. As an owner of both I have no clue.

I am starting Spiller. The way he's been playing he only needs 10-12 touches to be a fantasy force. It is a roll of the dice but he is active and the Bills will likely be down. It depends on your options, though.

If I'm coaching Buffalo, and FJax has a gimpy knee, why wouldn't I bring in Choice for a power goal line situation? Did I just complicate matters more?

My gut tells me to roll with spiller. Listening to local radio coverage of game and they just reported both Spiller and Fjax are "bouncing" around out there. There's nothing wrong with Spillers legs as well. Hes still as explosive as ever . They prob gave him a shot of hydromorphone for pain. He only needs one touch

Spiller over Bradshaw for me this week as my flex.

I need a home run to win this week and I can't think of a bigger home run swing than Spiller.

Decoy? That wouldn't work more than half a quarter, so pretty useless to risk Spiller getting injured blocking to not get any touches.

Just traded for Spiller. I'm starting him. It's all about fun ratio. How much fun is it if he goes off > How sad I am if I lose this week.

I'm going with fun. If I lose, take a xanax. Win/win.

RT @salmaiorana #Bills RBs thoughts: Spiller decoy, contact limited. Jackson will start, but not full load. Choice will play some, too

My guess as well:FJax-- 12-15 touches (Maybe no goal line work though)Spiller-- 3-5 touches (3rd down back to avoid LB/DL hits)Choice 5-8 touches (spells Fjax and gets goal line)

I do not want to give away paid content. Looks like Dodds just adjusted his projections for Jackson and he is the only one of him, Bloom and Tremblay that has Jackson seeing a good bit of workload today.

I agree.also, Jackson seems a bit more healthy than Spiller. one last thing: if you are putting two injured people into the game to play, and you are the coach, who do you take the risk on? The young guy with a long career ahead of him, or the old war horse who has maybe one more year in the tank. You risk the old guy and give him the extra work. The young guy you will be more careful with as he is the future of the franchise.

Not that my opinion matters, but up to the very last minute, I decided to settle for Chris Johnson as my RB2 and his horrible match up v. the Texans rather than Spiller. Thinking is that Spiller's touches will be limited with most going to Jackson and maybe Choice. If Titans don't fall behind too fast, at least CJ400ft gets majority of touches and maybe just maybe he can break off a long one.

Rolling with Freddy over K.Rudolph at flex (PPR). Heck, with Spiller's injury, it might be the last time it ever makes sense to play Fred Jackson.

Doing it with my eyes closed though.

The safe play is probably the best move (L Moorre or Holmes for me), but i'm rolling with F. Jax. Gut tells me Spiller wont take a hit or will get hurt and be tentative. He may even fumble on his first series. Jax doesn't fumble and they will trust him at the GL. Technically, he is has been healing for 3-weeks and working on fitness for two of them.

Hoping for a GL touchdown and 40-60 yards.

Jackson looked slow yesterday. I see him being ineffective for awhile if not the rest of the year.

Best case scenario for a non-Jackson/Spiller owner. I want them watered down and it appears that's going to happen.
