Jacoby was emerging, got hurt, and then Andre Davis and Kevin Walter stepped up and staked their claim to jobs while he was out. Now Jones looks more like a liability as a rookie next to the vets than he did when Davis and Walter weren't doing much and their experience did not add much to the offense.
His talent is undeniable, and eventually, Jacoby will make a splash, but Davis and Walter may delay his arrival a year or two.
