Hearing reports that his doctors are advising him to sit out the remainder of the year.
source? link? the only report I saw was a rumor that "people close to Best" were advising him to consider sitting out. Nothing from doctors unless you have something new.Hearing reports that his doctors are advising him to sit out the remainder of the year.
With the Brown trade falling through, who would become #1. MoMo? James Davis???Hearing reports that his doctors are advising him to sit out the remainder of the year.
James Davis is already injured. If there is no Best, I don't care about who is RB unless it's a very deep league. The Lions are a pass first team and have had no success running the ball. Best has derived his value from big plays with his speed and catching balls. I don't see Morris, Williams, or any scrub off the street making much of a difference. They are all substantially inferior talents to Best. RCCB also a possibility. With the Brown trade falling through, who would become #1. MoMo? right, but that was the blurb I was referring to and doesn't mention anything about doctors. Not saying you are wrong, just have yet to see anything anywhere that validates his doctors suggesting he sit out remainder.i picked up morris to be safe. also, the local write who camps out at practice tweeted he did not show up at practice. i messaged him to see if he knows anything else.
How's Morris in pass pro? Any chance they'd bring in a pass pro specialist like Portis? For everyone saying that they will be dropping Morris after this week, not so fast my friend...If Best is out for year, just by the share fact that Morris is the sole carrier on a good offense means multiple opportunities, and it is week 7 - you don't just throw him back on the waiver wire for nothing. Going forward he could present some real nice bye week fill in at the least. Last year his numbers were:79 carries for 326 yards and five touchdowns with 18 catches for 116 yards.I don't know about you, but I think that is worth a roster spot.Edit: Bloom agrees - he has Morris as the 13th RB this week in a PPR.
Not sure, to be honest. Any Detroit homers want to weigh in?How's Morris in pass pro? welcome to week 6He's on a 5-0 team. If he can play, I'm sure he'll play. It's not like their season is tanking and it wouldn't be worth the risk to bring him back.Doesn't look good, I'm just saying that they have good reason to try to get him on the field if possible.

If Best is going to sit out for the year, he really should just quit football. If he's so fragile that any concussion can cause this much concern, no team can rely on him.
You're right. My point is totally moot now that they are 5-1.My b.welcome to week 6He's on a 5-0 team. If he can play, I'm sure he'll play. My bad; I took it off the CBS blurb. There was my epic fail moment, taking anything CBS says as gospel, haha. For everyone saying that they will be dropping Morris after this week, not so fast my friend...If Best is out for year, just by the share fact that Morris is the sole carrier on a good offense means multiple opportunities, and it is week 7 - you don't just throw him back on the waiver wire for nothing. In the midnight hour... she cried More, MoMo!With the Brown trade falling through, who would become #1. MoMo? James Davis???Hearing reports that his doctors are advising him to sit out the remainder of the year.
Morris is fine is pass protection. Detroit often used him in place of Best on passing downs. No reason to worry about that. How's Morris in pass pro? Omg I would upvote this so hardIn the midnight hour... she cried More, MoMo!With the Brown trade falling through, who would become #1. MoMo? James Davis???Hearing reports that his doctors are advising him to sit out the remainder of the year.
No...there is no news to speak, only a ton of rumors and innuendo.I would guess that he sits until after the bye...but my opinion and a 5 spot gets you a cup of Starbucks.Hold for now...there is more risk in dumping him than there is in missing out on Mo Morris. So should I dump Best now? Don't really have anyone else I can afford to drop for Morris.
In the same boat. With ADP, Hillis, and Best as my RB core, might need to chalk up 2011 and trade ADP to a contender for legit keeper value. This sucks, lost the gamble again on Best, should've learned my lesson last season. So should I dump Best now? Don't really have anyone else I can afford to drop for Morris.
When your friends and family say "It's not worth it. We want you around for awhile, as we know you know" you listen.Nowhere does it say gis doctors are telling him to sit out for the season. It says priple close to him. Driends and family? Usually family is more cautious imo.

How much does quitting football pay? That might be a bad career move for purely altruistic purposes. If Best is going to sit out for the year, he really should just quit football. If he's so fragile that any concussion can cause this much concern, no team can rely on him.

Agree. No enough attention to Keiland Williams right now. May get shot at some point if Best does actually shut it down.Grab Keiland while you still can
This isn't the old NFL, concussion are serious business now. If the doctors are telling him to shut it down, there's a good chance he might especially given his historyYou're right. Don't dump Best yet. There's still not enough hard information - he may come back in a week, a month, or never. There's still too much potential value to just dump him on the waiver wire. You have to hold him until you hear something official. So should I dump Best now? Don't really have anyone else I can afford to drop for Morris.
