Jamaal Charles is reportedly in danger of missing the Chiefs' third preseason game with "some sort of leg injury."

Charles reportedly suffered the injury in Wednesday's practice. The Kansas City Star has made no mention of it, but we're guessing independent Chiefs beat writer Bob Gretz wouldn't have discussed the malady if Charles were practicing. It's a situation to monitor with just over two weeks left before the season. The Chiefs host the cross-state Rams on Friday night.

The possible No. 1 pick in some fantasy drafts is currently nursing an injury. According to Bob Gretz, who has been covering the Kansas City Chiefs for 30 years, running back Jamaal Charles has "some sort of leg injury" that may keep him out of tonight's preseason game versus the Rams. Charles suffered the vague injury during Wednesday's practice and it isn't considered to be serious right now, but head coach Todd Haley may hold him out of the game as a precaution.
