I targeted CJ-lite not only because of his big play ability but because of the Chiefs insanely easy run schedule. Looking at that schedule again and then combining that with Haley's insistence/Jones' age defying ability, it looks like it might be possible that 12+ points per week is highly possible for each back. Now stay with me here. Figure 17+ touches for Jones averaging 80 yards pr gm and the occasional TD and then Charles at 13 rush per game averaging over 100 total per game. The top off is the run schedule: Colts, Bills, Jags, Texans, Raiders, Broncos, Cardinals (stingy), Seahawks (stingy), and then in the playoffs the Chargers and Rams. Call me crazy but I think you could make a strong case for consistent fantasy production from both of these backs.

Jamaal Charles?

Cute idea, but you have the two of them rushing for over 2700 yards combined for a season. I don't think there have ever been two backs on one team that've racked up that much yardage. Also not terribly likely that Charles keeps running at 7.0 ypc. You can make a case for strong production--Charles as top 15, Jones as top 25, maybe--but not that strong.

it's actually not a bad idea at all. Odds are if one of em doesn't get stats it'll be at the expense of the other. And KC has clearly shown a commitment to run like few teams have in recent years.

I drafted Charles, and actually traded Brandon Jacobs for Thomas Jones straight up earlier in the season. Jones hasn't started for me yet, but I'm thinking of using both of them during some of my other RB byes. Not a bad idea.

KC is 3-0. They've had the luxury of being able to run all game long in every game. So far this season, they have 19 first quarter carries, 26 second quarter carries, 27 third quarter carries, and 32 fourth quarter carries. They've yet to trail by more than 7 points this year, or by more than 4 points after halftime. It's not that Kansas City is recommitted to the run or anything, it's just that they're actually winning football games for the first time in ages. The flip side to that is that they aren't going to go 16-0. Eventually, they'll start losing some games and Jones and Charles are going to spend most of the 2nd half blocking instead of running.
