(Rotoworld) Jameel McClain has won the Ravens' starting right inside linebacker job next to Ray Lewis.
Analysis: Incumbents Dannell Ellerbe and Tavares Gooden, who essentially rotated last season, have been running strictly with the backup defense. McClain is an explosive pass rusher from the interior and considered stout against the run. The former undrafted free agent is drawing comparisons to Bart Scott.
I know all the buzz was Ellerbe or Gooden and now this is posted. Not sure where Rotoworld got there info - but if this is true what if any does this do for fantasy purposes. Will Ray Lewis loose some of his tackles to McClain -historically Lewis is the man in the linebacking crew to own in fantasy. Wondering if this is still true. If Lewis gets injured - does McClain have the inside line to move into his spot and Gooden and Ellerbe move into McClain's spot? Will McClain be able to hold off Ellerbe and Gooden. Being an undrafted free agent - I haven't found out to much about McClains abilities. Homers? Jene?
