All of my WRs are hurting so I'm stuck looking for a stopgap for this week. I'm just going to bullet this..

- Jennings is looking doubtful

- Cobb was limited in practice today with a hamstring injury

- last weeks game on Thursday was an aberration (passing averages - Thursday: 223.6ypg, 1.1 TDs, 0.9 INTs)

- this game is on Monday night (passing averages - Monday: 277.4ypg, 1.7 TDS, 0.9 INTs)

- SEA ranks in the middle of the pack in pass defense (18th most points allowed)

I may be forced to start him again. At least, it can't be any worse this time around, right?

I'd like to thank Greg Russell for compiling the averages here.

pretty sure I will have Jones in at least one of my lineups this week - the one thing to hope for is that some of his biggest games in the past few years have come after a really bad one

- Jennings is looking doubtful
Link? I've heard full practices this week.
N/M. CBS... " SiriusXM NFL Radio reports Packers coach Mike McCarthy didn't have a great update Thursday on the status of injured wide receiver Greg Jennings, who sat out Week 2 with a groin injury. "He worked the other day and it didn't go as well as we thought," McCarthy said. "I'm curious to see how he goes today. It's been up and down. I know he's frustrated and he doesn't feel like he has a handle on it yet." Green Bay is at Seattle on Monday night. Jennings did not practice Thursday and McCarthy said he did more rehab work. "Maybe we were too optimistic," McCarthy told reporters, per the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "He's not quite where we hoped he be by now." "

Yeah that's what I'm basing it off of. At the very least, he'll be a GTD and less than 100%.

Here's some more:

McCarthy press conference on Thursday:

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/170547366.html

Cobb (hamstring) was limited, Crabtree (shoulder) did not participate, House (shoulder) limited, Jennings (groin) did not participate, Perry (wrist) limited, Sitton (knee) limited.

Jennings worked rehab on Thursday. Didn't go as well as hoped. It wasn't what was expected when saw him Tuesday. Saw him run, but didn't think he was ready to practice Tuesday. Will wait to see this week.

Cobb and Sitton should be OK by Monday. No major concerns. They have a good secondary. They exemplify their defense. They get up and play bump. They challenge you.

From Rotoworld:

Greg Jennings (groin) was held out of practice on Thursday.

As opposed to a veteran day of rest, this appears to be a setback after Tuesday's return to a padded practice. Coach Mike McCarthy told Sirius NFL radio that Jennings is "frustrated" and "doesn't feel like he has a handle on (the injury) yet." McCarthy added that Jennings has been "up and down" and his early-week work "didn't go as well as we thought." McCarthy confirmed after Thursday's practice that Jennings is "not where we hoped he would be." Barring a return for Friday's practice, Jennings has the look of a no-go for Week 3 in Seattle.

Nice.

Is this guy worth a hail mary play in this game... Yeah I am desperate, its a deeper league. But if Rodgers throws 4-5 TD's you would think Jones has like a 40% chance to catch one of them.

I ended up playing Hankerson over him last week, same production although Hank has a brighter outlook. This is tough really, the game is projected to be the highest scoring with good reason. If you are desperate and and it's a deeper league, having a horse in this race cannot be the worst thing.

When Jennings has played, Jones has been very involved and productive. Even in the one game he stunk he had a pass thrown to him in the end zone he could've caught for a TD. So he's had opportunities to produce every week so far. I expect that to continue. He clearly has a strong role in the passing game this season. He's difficult to trust because games like the one he had in Week 2 could crop at any time but I think he's a low-end WR3 most weeks due to his involvement in the passing game. His upside goes up when the matchup is favorable as it is this week. If I owned Jones and needed him I wouldn't hesitate to start him tomorrow.

Gruden made the point Monday night that one of the reasons GB has been off this year is that defenses are now attacking their smallish quick receivers at the line, trying to disrupt their quick timing routes.

The bigger Jones is now being used as a chains mover. Finley also, but we all know he can't catch.

I was shocked when I looked up Jones catch rate last season in FOA. Don't recall the number, but it was much higher than I expected.

It would not shock me if Jones emerged as a consistent FF performer.

Every single GB receiver had mind boggling catch rate %s last year. This can be attributed to Rodger's accuracy. When I saw that deep threat Jordy caught 71% of his 95 targets, a higher % than Wes Welker, 3rd among WRs with 50+ receptions, my mind was officially blown.
