Jared Allen makes a violent threat in a bar (1 Viewer)

I just think it was amazing he wasnt so drunk that he was at least coherent with his threats...
if he wants to avoid a year long suspension, he needs to be far away from alcohol and bars all together.rumor is, dudes an alcoholic.
Hey OMG! Ponies!Jared Allen is no longer in the substance abuse program, so any (unlikely) future alcohol related incidents would be considered as brand new. Rumor is, he doesn't drink anymore, but I have no idea if that's any more likely than he's a high-functioning alcoholic that can still manage to be an All Star Defensive End, but I have a feeling that one story is more likely than the other. Thanks for the DE, hope the picks your team got for him all work out for you.Scotty
I hope you guys are sending Carl Peterson Christmas cards every year thanking him for your gift. Just amazing. One of the best draft day steals of all time, and we're gonna send him off for what? a 1st and a 3rd? has he opened a bar up there yet? he had one here in downtown KC that he used to hangout at all the time, even after his DUI issues. closed soon after he was traded.just because he completed the program, the previous incidents are wiped away? does that apply to Ben too?
why do people keep comparing bens issue with a DUI? they are no where in the near realm of being comparable. And yes Allen has been out of that program for awhile now, and yes Carl is an idiot.

and then I'll write a check to your f*cking name too
What the heck is that supposed to mean?
Hi PDP,It may have already been answered but I understand what Jared Allen is saying crystal clear. It means he knows going in full well that he has a lot to lose financially in fighting with this guy, but because he called his wife a punt(awesome way to say this without getting in trouble) that he was going to break his face in anyways and then pay for the damages after. Meaning don't think just because the law and Goodell will come down hard on me, don't think I won't pulverize you for saying that to my wife. If a guy said that to my wife, I'd fly off the handle too, no one gets to call my wife that name, not even me so yeah I would have a big problem with it...howevr there are always two sides to the story...did this guy just randomly call her that or was there something that lead up to that confrontation?

If this was a Roethlisberger thread there would be 20 people here saying the woman deserved to be called that.
True, but you and cobalt would be in a car headed to Ben's house with a noose and some rudimentary surgery tools.

Flying off the handle protecting your wife's good name is much different than kidnapping a drunk woman and forcing yourself on her.

But I can already see that this is going to be a long summer. Ben won't be the only NFL player that gets a major suspension for bad conduct. In fact Goodell is making it even tougher for future culprits. What happens to players that actually get in trouble? Is a DUI a 4 game suspension? Should it be?

Does anyone here actually know if the future wife actually did something to prompt the guy calling here a punt?

I want to live in the magical land that you and the author of this TMZ post live where this is a big deal and where that was "one of the nastiest threats ever unleashed".

You hear nastier threats than that within 3 minutes of logging into xbox live.
No offense, but did you selectively stop reading my post past the part you quoted? Did you not read the VERY NEXT SENTENCE?
I don't think so, but I can see some that might....
Why are you lumping my opinion on this with the author of the TMZ post when I directly stated that I don't think it's a big deal? I'm simply posting the story.
It's common practice to not read an entire post. Just pinpoint things you don't agree with or you can argue about. Quote those things. Then reply. It wouldn't be the SP if this didn't happen at least once per thread.
I read every word of it. It was pretty clear that second part wasn't genuine, or he wouldn't have started the topic in the first place. And even if it was, thinking that this is something that anyone ELSE would call for disciplinary action for still puts this guy way out of touch with reality as to how big of a deal (read: none) this actually is.
:lmao: Are you serious? The second part wasn't genuine?

Surely you've read enough posts of mine to know that I have no problem speaking my mind. If I thought he deserved any sort of suspension for this I would have simply said so. Your post is one of the most ridiculous things I've read.

I was reading a PFT article about Big Ben. I saw the link about Jared Allen. I pulled it up and watched the video. I posted the link and story (isn't that what this place is for :goodposting: ). I then put 2 little lines to have a little commentary started. In the wake of the Big Ben suspension as well as the Jerry Jones video (where the same talk of the NFL imposing some sort of fine came up) I figured some would surely view this and say it may warrant some NFL front office action. I then stated that I don't think so (which I don't). But I'm out of touch with reality?

Sorry, but it might be YOU that is out of touch with reality if you read my 2 sentences and were able to deduce that I was both lying and out of touch with reality. Good try.

ScottyFargo would have be passing out the ski masks.

It's sad that on Day 1 of the NFL draft....a huge day for us FF dorks.....FreeBaGeL doesn't have anything better to do than come trolling into this thread spouting off about how disingenuous the OP is. It's hard enough trying to deduce "tone" from a post/email/etc., but somehow FreeBaGeL has managed to leap frog that difficulty and jump right into determining, without doubt, how genuine a person is when they post. Please teach me.

I think vigilante justice is pretty cool in theory, but it would probably mean innocent guys get mutilated too. Too risky. Best to leave it to the authorities, they know what they're doing.

I listened to the video closely several times, and I'm pretty sure he says, "I'll break your f*****g neck, homeboy. and then I'll sign a check to your sh***y family, too."

in other words: MURDA!

Doesn't that qualify as assault?Have a nice 2 games off mullet-boy.

Saints fan trying to provoke a suspension? ...Could Goodell be used as a stooge by wily NFL teams willing to sabotage opponents' seasons by goading players into bad conduct? Remember the false accusation against Jerome Bettis a while back?

It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it.

Jared Allen bar scene

TMZ has obtained video of Minnesota Vikings defensive superstar Jared Allen unleashing one of the nastiest threats ever on a bar patron who allegedly called Jared's fiancee a word that rhymes with "punt."

Jared and his fiancee were hangin' at the Grapevine bar in Scottsdale, AZ a few weekends ago when some dude allegedly hurled the 4-letter slur towards the future Mrs. Quarterback Destroyer.

When Jared heard the insult, the 6'6", 270 pound Pro Bowler -- who's also an avid hunter -- told the guy, "I'll break your f*cking neck homeboy ... and then I'll write a check to your f*cking name too."

In the video, a woman can be seen dragging Jared away from the other man. We're told both Jared and the other dude each left the bar without further incident.

Jared's rep at EAG Sports Management tells TMZ, "No matter what, Jared will always protect and defend his family."

Is this something the NFL should be looking at? I don't think so, but I can see some that might....
What kind of a total mental case would you have to be to call Jared Allen's girl a ****.

I find it hard to believe that a guy would call a woman with Allen a #### unless it was well deserved. Plus Allen has had alcohol related issued in the past.
