Jared Allen - Questionable (ankle) (1 Viewer)

The only Fox guy to pick the Jets was Strahan, who said "I'm desperate" in reference to being the worst among them on the season in terms of picking games. Also this week, I heard Cowherd, Schlereth, and Wingo on the radio, and all picked the Chargers. Has any notable analyst or football person picked the Jets? (Besides FBGs, of course.)Not that this means anything...
Every ESPN analyst except Keyshawn took the Chargers, many of them predicting at least a double digit win.
on espn.com, every "expert" picked the chargers as well. Jaws, sal, eric allen, golic etc
OK, so far on the Jets side are Keyshawn, Strahan, Chase, Herm Edwards, and Rex Ryan. :unsure:On the Chargers side: everyone else.

And of course, Chase claims that a Jets win would NOT be an upset.

The CBS pre-game guys unanimously took the Chargers. :goodposting:

Just like I said, overrated Chargers team, when you have no RB like they do this was bound to happen....I saw this coming all week.

Yeah the Chargers could have played better, but Kaeding lost the game, pure and simple. If he makes 2 routine FG's the Chargers win by 3. So you saw Kaeding missing 3 FG's...good for you.

Gotta trust Rex Ryan. He knows things.

Congrats to the Jets, Chase, Reaper, and other Jet fans on the board. The Jets were the better team today, and deserve to advance to Indy.

Very, VERY disappointed right now. The penalties and missed FGs were devastating. Unreal.

 :football: Next week I've got moe Saturday night party into the Championship game.

RN was wrong, but at least he admitted he was wrong, unlike a lot of people on this site who runs their mouths all of the time and then vanish when they end up being dead wrong.

If Kaeding hits them, the game is different, certainly, but not won or lost necessarily. For instance, late in the game with a lead, the Jets laid back, stopped blitzing and played "protect the lead football". That allowed SD to march down the filed. The entire game would have been different. Nothing pure and simple about that at all.

Exactly. If the score was 17-10 instead of 17-7, the Jets likely don't play as "soft" as they did on defense on the drive that SD scored on to make it 17-14. It amazes me that more people don't get this.

So it amazes you that everyone doesn't assume that the events that did occur are less probable than the events that didn't? Interesting.ETA: I get what you are saying, but I am still feeling frustrated and blowing off some steam here.

This is as good a thread as any to see what trending topic "Nate Kaeding" leads to on twitter:

Nate Kaeding was caught committing suicide in the locker room but wasn't successful from kicking the chair out from underneath!

Nate Kaeding arrives home, tries to kick dog. Misses.

After the game Nate Kaeding tried to slam his car into a telephone poll but went wide right and missed completely.

But remember, none of this is Kaeding's fault. He was simply too awestruck and intimidated being in the presence of the amazing Jets. Lesser men simply would have refused to take the field and make the attempt.

Do you know the kind of person that blames the kicker? Jim Mora, Jr. Do you want to be like Jim Mora, Jr?

By the way, I was very impressed with Kaeding's post-game comments. I wouldn't worry about that guy.

So I guess the lack of ANY running game didn't hurt SD (which i predicted before the game), or the dropped interception at the goalline that would have been a 99yard TD for SD, or other dropped balls...Please, if your going to blame the kicker, than blame the rest of the team for putting him in those situations to fail. SD lost as a team not by kicker alone. You sound like the Seattle fans that blamed the refs when Pitt beat them in the SB when they simply got outplayed by a better team...whatever dude.

I was with right up to this point. I agree 100% that the Chargers lost as a team.

I am not a Seahawks fan, never have been, never will, but man they got screwed royally by the refs in the SB. Those brutal calls changed the face of the game, repeatedly. Congrats to your team on winning the game - it wasn't the Steelers fault the calls went in their favor, but in my mind that victory will always be tainted by simply terrible officiating.

It was ter-i-ble man. ter-i-ble.

End of OP hi-jack.
