Jared Allen zero today (1 Viewer)

So needless to say, this is a bit unexpected. JA hasn't been held completely out of the box score since 2009. Anybody watching the game have any insight? I tried the game thread and searched this forum, but found nothing.

My main question is, is he in a rotation now? I know the coaches had mentioned it during preseason, but Allen said it wasn't happening. I'd really like some insight on this one if anyone has any.

Trying to figure this out myself. I was pretty shocked when I saw him in most of the game. Defensive line just contained him.

Rule #1 for week 1 is usually not to overreact. with 48 att by Stafford I would have expected something from Chris Long too. Odd week for the DL....if it happens again next week then I would be worried.

Yeah it was a weird week for dline. Trent cole had a force fumble and 2 tackles called back for penalties. If there is a lot of passing then they should do something at least a sack.

That HAS been mentioned. That a ot of these rushers are getting held egregiously. that makes sense.

All top dlineman were down so it must be there way of protecting the qb. But there is a lot of pass interference not being called on the other side. The refs didnt do terrible but they need to go watch film and learn from the mistakes.

I was already preparing my rant. Tackle, sack, FF, makes for a slightly below average day in a tackle heavy league, but way better than a zero.

He was pretty close to having a 2 sack game. Alex Smith just threw a ball away as Allen had him in his grasp, just couldn't bring him down.

why did places all report Allen had a sack in 12 straight games after last week? He got a big fat zero when this thread started.
