Per Charlotte Observer:

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett was involved in a car accident Wednesday night, but is not believed to have any serious injuries.

Panthers general manager Marty Hurney confirmed the incident took place.

“Dwayne is fine,’’ Hurney said. “I just heard about it a little bit ago and don’t have all the details yet. But he’s fine.’’

Jarrett, a second-round draft pick from Southern California, is expected to compete with Drew Carter and Keary Colbert for the starting spot opposite Steve Smith.
