Jason Witten or LJ Smith at TE.... (1 Viewer)

I understand most people would probably say Witten, though with TO in the fold, I'm afraid he will be left in more to block. LJ Smith was on a very, very good pace until Mcnabb got hurt last year. The other thing for me is, I have Vanderjagt, so having him and Witten will cause bye week conflicts. Is Witten that much better than LJ that I must take Witten, or is LJ Smith just as good of a pick? LJ has looked good in preseason and with Philly lacking experience at WR, I expect Mcnabb to go to him more.

Witten by a lot IMO. He won't be held in to block more. The only reason he did it last year was because of Flozell Adam's season ending injury. They drafted Fasano so they could run 2 TE sets often and he is the blocking TE, not Witten. With TO and Glenn, and what looks to be at least a decent running game, Witten will get open early and often. He is also more physically gifted than LJ Smith. Smith is a good option after the top 6 or 7 TEs are off the board, but Witten is the much better option.

I would suppose LJ would be the "sleeper" of the two. But Witten has clearly established himself as a top TE in real football and fantasy. LJ has not. I would like them both on my team. But Witten is clearly the first choice of the two. IMO

I'll take LJ here. Someone is going to catch the ball in Philly....my money is on LJ getting more than his share.

Crud, I am an Eagles fan. My heart says LJ, my mind says Witten. But TheHuddle.com actually has LJ 6th and Witten 7th, further complicating matters....

Ths is one of those "don't worry about it" decisions. Neither will hurt you, and neither will carry you to a title by themselves. Take the one you personally like a little better and don't worry about it. I don't see either of them as substantially better than the other (fantasy-wise).
