**JAX at DET** (-1, 51) (1 Viewer)

A lot of hype in this game and the Lions feel like they are in the playoff hunt, which they are. It's a 1 point home fav game, meaning on a neutral field JAGS -2 or so. Basically almost a pick em game. It's like 50/50 who wins. Well, as a Lions fan since the early 60's I root for them. I'm rooting for scoring from both sides in this game. Starting Etienne, and sitting Z Jones for J Palmer so far as of now. Sitting Jamo and going to watch this game closely on every play. Lawrence is also a play of mine with Z Jones in DFS. Gotta like both Kirk and St. Brown. Not to sleep on DJ Chark either. Add Jameson Williams to the mix of explosion.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Detroit dominated today

Okay, how about DET 41 - JAX 27

Lions fans rejoice. Now, I am also very curious to see if Swift has any fire in his belly today. He sits for me in another league, but my other choices have their own challenge plays, Pierce, Wilson, Jr. Knight, and Swift for a Flex spot. Swift has dropped and has sat for me recently. What do you think, BobbyLayne? Jamaal Williams gets the TD's.

breaking even on Okwara’s - Julian to IR, Romeo coming off for his season debut

Evan Brown (ankle) still out but LG Jonah Jackson + CB Jeff Okudah are back from concussion protocol

Josh Paschal will be back, Hutchinson usually has a good game when he’s healthy

Ragnow, Sewell & Iffy all healthy again

Team is in high spirits, healthiest they’ve been in awhile. Never too worried about the offense but it’ll be fun watching #9 flying around

Hoping the D is disruptive

For the past month they have played disciplined, focused football. Lions ae a very physical team, have been winning the turnover battle and committing far fewer penalties than their opponents.

Take care of the details and the outcome usually goes the way you’re hoping.

I think Swift is a perfect preemptive strike guy - let someone else deal with his 3 rushes and 4 recs.
I think he'll get more than that, but your point is well taken. For all the talk of him playing well on Thanksgiving and the coaches willing to give him more, it doesn't mean they're going to pivot away more from Williams and, to a lesser degree, Jackson.

I think this one will be The Madden game of the day. Fitting that it's indoors because this one could look like an Arena League game. Trevor looks like he has shed The Ghost of Urban Past and is ready to play like a number one draft pick. Jarrod has played well at home and the prized rookie receiver looks like a go. Last offense with the ball wins...

You would think - which means it’s probably going to be a 17-13 type game.

This one could be fun. I've been kind of rooting for both of them most of the year. Gotta lean to the home team I guess.

The reason Zay Jones is now on his 3rd team and will be seeking employment again soon is those kind of drops on a very catchable and convertible 3rd and 3 in the red zone, woulda been 1st and goal but he cannot make those catches when it counts the most.

Gotta make that catch, don't care about the circus catches and previous miracles, you gotta make that catch.
All the Jags receviers are letting down Lawrence today.

easy 37 yarder to Kirk in the middle of the zone

Jacobs missed tackle should have been loss instead 11 yard gain

didn’t get a stop but Zay bailed them out w/ the drop

last 5 weeks they have come out prepared every game

credit to the staff turned it around

***************

are we gonna get any stops today? this could be a shootout

Goff dealing this afternoon
Detroit looks smooth and confident
Keep rolling and it makes things super easy for the FO and Owners in the off season, all systems GO!

OL: Rock solid but if the budget is there or someone falls in your lap in the Draft, couldn't hurt
RB: Nice combo but Swift isn't available often enough, there needs to be a re-thinking of this in Feb/March, some of it is worth keeping
WR: ARSB is amazing, if the Rookie can make a nice 2nd option then they can elevate to one of the Top 10 Duo threats and that makes TE more of a blocking point which is actually good, more like a 6th OL than a necessary move the sticks guy when you have great WRs.
QB: I'll let you all discuss. If the pick is high enough I would applaud and support drafting a QB in the Top 3-5 picks, would not mortgage a lot to move up.

This is just mostly about the offense, discuss the defense more throughout. It's fun watching this team grow and get better, fun to watch Dan Campbell get his shot in the NFL, he's not holding back right now, coaching like his job could be on the line, that's smart. If he can survive then he can also rethink if he has just the right coaches or needs an upgrade here and there.

Looking good Lions
